The Jewish War, also occasionally called The Great Revolt, happened during the years 66 through 73 C.E. (Freedman 848). During this Common Era the Jews from the Judea Province caused a rebellion against the Roman Empire. This lead to a major catastrophe and was a terrible mistake on both sides of the rebellion. There were a number of reasons why these two groups clashed. Beginning with corrupt officials, social hostility and socioeconomic concerns.

They were hoping that a few of them would just be taken and that the Germans would leave. The life of delusion was what they were accustomed too and stuck in their comfort zone. The Jews was shocked that the news came that the next day they all will be forced into concertation camp. Plus, they were in their own community why would they be scared.

Q5: After I read this book, this made me understand how much the Jews has struggled in the camps. Before I read this book, I thought the concentration camps is where Jews had to work until there numbers on their arm would be called out to get killed. They would killed them only by using the gas chambers which that wasn't the case at all. A lot of Jews were killed by machine guns. Babies were used as target practices for shooting.

But this was only a small fraction of their troubles. Soon walls were built around the area, and the true horrors began. During their days in the ghetto the jews had to deal with finding food to eat, finding a way to be useful and help their families, and if they were taking classes, which were done in secret, to be careful and hide their books from the germans. The jews were also sent to camps, where they were worked to death, shot to death, and starved to death. Their items were stolen, and they couldn 't do anything about it.

In 1993 the beginning of the genocide of millions of Jewish people began otherwise known as the Holocaust. The Nazis plan to exterminate all Jewish people was referred to as the Final Solution. During this time period the Jewish people were discriminated against by being segregated, stripped of their identities, and being taken away from everything they own and love and forced into concentration camps. Taking the lives of 6 million Jews alone, the Holocaust is one of , if not the, greatest tragedies in history. It is completely deranged that at one point in time, millions of people stood by and supported Adolf Hitler. Adolf was a man who stored so much hatred towards Jews, homosexuals, Gypsies, etc., that he found it acceptable to kill them through mass shootings, gassings, and Nazi camps. Other times called ‘concentration camps,’ the mere idea of Nazi camps was purely wicked. Disease, forced labor, starvation, and murder are only a few things that were incorporated into these camps.

In the ghettos, living conditions were very harsh. There were ridiculous rules like “no hands in your pockets” (Altman The Holocaust Ghettos 42). The ghettos could be described as “crowded and unsanitary living conditions” (Blohm Holocaust Camps 10), with six to seven people living in each room (Adler 57). The ghettos were always sealed, with a wall, barbed wire, or posted boundaries (Altman the Holocaust Ghettos 14). Around the ghettos they were always guarded, if any Jew tried to escape, they would be killed (Adler 57).

The Nazis slowly changed life politically, economically, and socially for many people. The rise of the Nazi party changed people in many ways especially the Jews. One of the ways were politically, The Jews weren’t able to have a citizenship and not were able to vote.

Judaism was founded by Abraham, Isaac, and Moses, and it is the original Abrahamic religion. There are around 14 million followers of Judaism today, and these people are called Jews. Judaism is a monotheistic religion, Jews believe that there is only one God. They believe that God created the universe and continue to effect everything in the world. They believe that every Jew can have a personal relationship with God.
