Out of the Roman Caesar’s, the name Julius reigns supreme on the most popular. This is not just because he was a great ruler, or because he was brutally assassinated by his senators. (History) This is because the great playwright William Shakespeare wrote one of the most famous plays in existence on it; Julius Caesar. Though there has often been much controversy on whether it was Caesar or Brutus who was the tragic hero, evidence from the play leans towards Brutus.
