George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were great presidents but i believe that Abraham Lincoln was far better. He abolished slavery and held the country together during one of it's hardest times and doing all this with the pressure of an entire country relying on him. But it would have been better if he wasn't killed during his term I beleive that if he wouldn't have died America would be doing a lot better then it is now Lincoln would have been an amazing president if he didn't die he probably would have served another term or two. Even though everyone loved George Washington, Lincoln was also very popular among the people he also had the potential to make America a way better place.

Lincon's mentality and his ability to keep the country together makes him the strongest president we had yet. However, when refugee slaves were found helping the confederacy Lincoln freed them as a contraband of war, as stated by pbs, “Though "contraband" slaves had been declared free, Lincoln continued to insist that this was a war to save the Union, not to free slaves. “.

George Washington suffered many illnesses such as: Diphtheria, tuberculosis, smallpox, dysentery, malaria, tonsillitis, carbuncle, pneumonia, and epiglottitis. Regardless of his disease, George Washington was always doing things for other people.

Of the many great presidents, Thomas Jefferson was the strongest. Not only was he a great president, but he also was able to be so involved with teh New American Union even after his time in office. He was on eof the first philosophical thinkers that helped for the foundations of the country, he launched the library of congress, and was the one to provide the inspiration and the funding for the Lewis and Clark Expedition, all of which are important factors to every day life even today. Both Linocln and Washington were among the great presidents as well. Lincoln for example "made a stand against the popular opinion of the time, a decision that would divide the nation" (Emily Stone) about slavery that did significantly impact America.

Lincoln was a great commander-in-chief because he attempted to run the war and also maintain political stability at the same time.
