Why Is John Quincy Adams Successful

Martin Van Buren was a U.S. President he was born Dec. 5, 1782 then he died July 24, 1862 he was the 8th president of the United States. He was a descendant of the Dutch immigrants; he was also the first president whose ethnic background was mostly from Britain. He was in office from (1837-1841) he played a huge role in the development of the modern American party. He was admitted in the bar in 1803 Van Buren career in public office was a mix of personal ambition and sensitivity to the needs of a rapidly changing society.

At six, Fremont’s father passed away due to unknown causes. Fremont’s mother moved her family to Charleston, South California so that she could get help raising her family of three. In 1829 Fremont entered the college of Charleston, however, got expelled due to many absences.

The United State’s second President, John Adams, began his political career by helping in the Continental Congress representing Massachusetts. Adams was very contentious, which is not usually a valued trait, however, it made him very well equipped to handle foreign politics. His main goal though, was simply to “advance the cause of the United States.” Adams was responsible for, and successful at, persuading the Dutch to grant the U.S. diplomatic recognition. His first major role in American politics though came in 1789 when he became Vice President to Washington.

To begin with, John Quincy Adams was the face of courage throughout his term. Adams was constantly defending his principles, although that often left him to standalone. He entered the Senate in 1803 under the Federalist

In New York City he started his first practice. His very first clients were people that were still loyal to the British king, loyalists. The Loyalists started finding unoccupied homes and just started to live in them. The colonists whose homes they were got angry and sued the loyalists. Alexander Hamilton defended these Loyalists.

After the American Revolution he worked as a lawyer in New York. Joined the Continental Congress and in 1787 was a New York delicate to the constitutional convention in Philadelphia. Fought to replace the flawed articles of Confederation with a constitution that guaranteed a strong central government. When Washington was elected president in 1789 he tapped Alexander Hamilton to be the first secretary of the treasury. He then designed The treasury department.

John Quincy Adams served his years as president in 1825 to 1829 and he was the sixth president of the United States. John Quincy Adams was a federalist and Jackson was a democratic-republican, which might be one of the reasons they did not get along well. Andrew Jackson

John Adams born in Quincy, Massachusetts on October 30th, 1735. Adams was smart all his life. A the age of 16, because of his intelligence he was offered a scholarship to Harvard University. When he then graduated in 1755, and study at Harvard University. At the age of 20, John Adams was studying in law to become a lawyer.

During the 1800s this unofficial war was over, and Adams was also less popular with the public. He lost reelection against Thomas Jefferson by only a few votes in the 1800s. John Adams died on July 4, 1826. There for John Adams was a very important part in the revolutionary war era. He started out working with the First Continental Congress.

Andrew Jackson was not a good president. He was known as a champion of common men, founder of the Democratic Party, and savior of the Union. Despite these claims he was also single-handedly responsible for the displacement of an entire people, national depression and the creation of controversial federal hiring policy. These actions overshadow his presidency but his role in holding the United States together when South Carolina threatened secession was viewed as an important contribution. Born in 1776 in Davidson County, Tennessee, he was the first self made man to become president.

President George Washington knew that a lot of his accomplishments would be viewed as precedents. As being the first President, he set numerous precedents, a significant number of which are still being implemented today. He chose to be called Mr. President as opposed to the title of being called a King, he then created the Presidential Cabinet, established the term limit of two terms for Presidency and was first President to create foreign policy. Sam Adams was born September 27, 1722, in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard in 1740 and will later be know as one of the founding fathers. He took out a loan from his father and gave half to a friend that never repaid him and he spent the other half. Then his father names him a partner in the family business and Adams make a weekly article which fails and in 1756 he was a tax collector but he failed to collect the taxes. He served as a legislator for Massachusetts from 1765-1774.

In 1777, Hamilton had become George Washington’s assistant. In the year of 1788 he convinced New Yorkers to ratify the U.S Constitution. He then became the secretary if the treasury. He was a founding father, served in the military, studied law, was involved in politics and government. He is also on U.S currency (10-dollar bill) who was never a president.
