Hanna was working for hours. She came home, she was very tired and hungry. She looked at the refrigerator and there was no food, and she didn’t have money too. In jobs and other workplace She work hard and for long hours and She get paid less. So someone should do something about that. In stores like Mcdonalds we get less money. Then we have to work hard and everyday it is the same. You go there and work for 7 to 8 hour and you get less pay. And when you are going to the college and you to make money you work in a store and Mcdonalds and you don’t make enough money to pay. Teens should get paid more, so they can pay for their college and other things. The teens need more money so they don’t have to get loans and pay off college their whole life. There are lot of middle class people who get less paid. They have a hard time living because of the medical insurance. Also, clothes are expensive and cost a lot of money. They get stressed and they fight, and they give up and start drinking. That’s the time where everything starts to change and they start smoking, and the children in that family they do the same thing. The government should increase the work wage so families don’t have to struggle and worry about the money. This problem is in all the places.People and families, they struggle for money. They can’t buy a house and get a good education. And it is so important to have good education and good
Why does it seem that the working class is set up for failure? Do these workers lack the experience in their chosen fields? Do these employees lack in their work ethic? Does the government need to give more support? Questions like these arise in the story “Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By In America” by Barbara Ehrenreich and in the article “The Minimum-Wage War” by Rolling Stone.
The minimum wage and “crappy jobs” associated with it should be something that people strive to work themselves out of through education and a strong work ethic. Ideally, people get “crappy” minimum wage jobs as teenagers still in high school, and the experience teaches them to work hard and apply themselves in school, so that they don’t have to work at that “crappy” job
The fact of everyday needs is so expensive that it is hard to meet their basic living expenses. Due to the fact that people have to pay for food, housing, car payments, and many more things to survive the minimum wage should be raised. As said in the article, a guy that supports himself would have to work 93 hours a week to be able to be able to afford the essential needs. The Adams American Dream definition says how they want everyone to achieve and succeed in life which is really hard not being able to with the minimum wage this
Should In State College Be Free? The moment when you’re standing on that stage holding your diploma is a memory that will never fade. You’ll look back from pre-k till your senior year in highschool. A college education is almost mandatory in today’s society.
Is The American Dream Just a Dream? The American Dream is notable to be an aspiration for a better, wealthier, and joyful life for everyone of every class. For most Americans, this requires going to college and getting a college degree, getting a good paying job, buying a house with the white picket fence and a dog, and starting a family. Although this seems wonderful, a large amount of the American population believes that the Dream has changed extremely or doesn’t believe in the dream because of increased prices in society, the price of tuition being unaffordable, as well as the unemployment rate skyrocketing and lower job growth.
Colleges should be more affordable We all have heard the saying “money can’t buy happiness.” This is true to a certain extent, Many people don’t have enough money to go college for jobs of their interest causing them to live unhappily and not make as much money. “Without a decent job with decent pay, people will fall into poverty. This is mostly has to do with financial situations.
A question that might be asked for a long time. Should college be free? It is a very opinionated question and I think that it should not be free. I think it should not be free because taxes would go up, America would go into more debt, and because the value of a college degree would decrease.
How do various wages affect the individuals of the growing population and how are they treated in society? Today, wealth is shared unequally amongst the population in America. Since America is a capitalist country, they go by having only the hardest workers earn the top 10% in America. Leaving the rest of the population surviving on minimum wage or making just enough to support their family. I plan to research on how many people are earning minimum wage today, and explore how this affects their lifestyle.
The most powerful element in society is wealth, it has the power to corrupt the human mind and body. Andrew Carnegie the president of a $480 billion steel company believed it is “the duty of the man of wealth” to control all the money that comes to him, and “becoming the mere agent and trustee for his poorer brethren… Doing for them better they would or could do for themselves” (Doc C). Clearly the immense amount of wealth he possessed has corrupted his mind to make such hostile judgment upon the poor. The mere dream of a laborer is to become successful in their jobs in order to earn the sufficient amount of money to buy a decent home, and raise a healthy family.
Workers across the United States wish to raise the minimum wage to ten dollars. Minimum wage should not be increased because people who work at fast food restaurants should not get paid as much as someone who workers harder than they do and it would not be a benefit to the people of the United States. Minimum wage means you get paid the minimum you can receive for working every hour, why wouldn’t an individual want to get paid at the maximum limit they could earn instead? Employees who would like to get a higher income need to get a more professional job. There are plenty of fast food restaurants in every state and they are always hiring full-time and part-time jobs, but shouldn’t adults work somewhere with more benefits, such as a hospital or a school?
America today is faced with its fair share of problems. There are low employment rates, debt, and inflation everywhere, riddling the economy with issues. There is absolutely no reason that any American citizen should want to pile upon the problem. Yet, some believe that it could be done by raising the federal minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour. Fortunately, history, economics, and common sense prove the minimum wage raise proposition wrong.

Every youth desire to attain a college degree as it offers many opportunities to the graduates. Higher education is however very expensive and hence reserved for the privileged families. I believe that kids should not be paid for doing chores. Chores are a thing that everyone has to do every day,it is a part of life. Your parents do chores all the time every single day and they don't get paid. Doing chores teaches you responsibility and you shouldn't have to be paid to learn how to be responsible. Also chores aren't the same as paying jobs that parents have.
Free Public College Education Welcome to free college! When a person thinks of going to college, they think of their financial needs, however that might not be a dilemma for them anymore. Cities in the United States are thinking of creating colleges that offer free public college education. This opportunity is a positive impact on people who want to further their education, although this opportunity has a negative impact on aspiring students. Free public college education should not be offered in cities in the United States because students’ success will decrease, the competition for jobs will increase, and most importantly taxpayers will have to pay more to support these schools.
Free college tuition should be given to students in order for them to focus on their studies and it will help them become more successful. There has been many arguments over this issue. A college education is basically a need now a days because although not many jobs require a college degree good jobs demand them. Many students already struggle with money due to the fact that they do not come from a privileged family so many opportunities don’t apply to them and in most cases they don’t even bother because they know they won’t be able to afford college and many don’t try. Free college tuition should be considered and enforced due to college being very expensive and most students don’t meet the requirements for loans or qualify for financial aid.
