GYM GRADES SHOULD NOT AFFECT THE GPA Smart kid's grade point averages, or GPA's, are brought down by bad gym grades. This can affect kids getting into college. By not letting gym grades affect the GPA, less athletic children have a better chance of getting into a good college. However, athleticism has absolutely nothing to do with getting good grades in the core subjects. The student's grades in gym should not affect their grade point averages because it encourages bullying, the grading scale is subjective, and GPA's are a measure of a student's academic prowess. Gym class will encourage bullying through all types of forms. The grading scale will vary every day depending on the objective. Students are being graded on how fast they can run a mile, but this is unfair to those who are genuinely trying but just cannot meet that standard. So overall, keeping a certain GPA for sports is important. It teaches student athletes to prioritize certain activities so they keep up, and it motivates them to keep their homework in, which will keep their grades up. SATS and ACTS have been used for numerous years as a way to gauge a student’s academic success while in college. Students have the choice which test they would prefer to take and most colleges do not prefer one test over the other. There are a few key differences between the SAT and ACT, which may make one test more suitable than the other for those taking the tests. Many studies have proven that the SAT and ACT are not the best judge of future success, and that colleges should focus their applications more on past grades and accomplishments to decide which students should be accepted to their university. Along with changing hormones and environment where student lives or is exposed to, there may be observed violent behaviors and/or bullying actions. Bullying can have different connotation for different people but as a dictionary definition, it means abuse and mistreatment of someone vulnerable by someone stronger, more powerful ( Marriam-Webstar Dictionary). Among the students, especially in the high schools, bullying is some kind of power-seeking and it is a common behavior.

It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear.
