Why Is Writing Important To You Essay

After reading Stephen King's essay "Reading to Write" (72) it opened my eyes for writing. Although being a professional novelist isn't a goal I want to pursue in my life, writing is something I will need to learn how to do with good form. When it comes to the writing department, it's not one of my best skills. King says, "Good writing, teaches the learning writer about style, graceful narration, plot development, the creation of believable characters, and truth-telling" (73). I will try my best to become a good writer.

I find that I usually have more success when writing about something that I truly enjoy and struggle when talking about something I do not really care about. Both my parents were minimal to no help with writing

Writing process is difficult to realize since it requires a lot of skills and knowledge. Definitely, not many of us can start writhing right away without having any problems such as grammar, vocabulary or organization. However, a person can become a better writer if he or she will practice writing every day and will pay attention to his writing problems. To become a good writer, I have to improve my grammar, follow specific steps in writing process, and avoid using similar transitional words. Grammar is the number one problem in the writing process and causes me a lot of issues.

Now that I’m in college, all I’ve done is write. Schools need to make writing more involved because not only do you use it in college, but also in jobs. Many different businesses are having trouble finding college graduates that are capable for their jobs. Life is chaotic, toxic and stressful. The problems of the universe seems to weigh me down, closing the walls in daily. I find peace and reach a state of euphoria when I write. Every so often I love putting my thoughts on paper letting the words flow out of my mind and lay across the lines of a piece of paper. I write because I want to live forever.

This can happen in the form of journaling, letter writing, poetry writing, or in any other way that a person chooses to express him or herself. I think I will do a literature review for this project, in order to be able to find out more about this strategy from multiple angles. This topic is very important in that it can be used as a strategy in psychotherapy. Many individuals in this world have experienced some type of trauma during their lives.

Expressive writing is a tool that people can utilize now and for the rest of their lives. It teaches people how to express themselves and understand how they can use their current situation to overcome future stressful situations. Ciotti explains that writing about a certain topic for a period of time allows people to “build off of older thoughts” and utilize life kong ideas that were previously written down. Cruder, when asked how writing about traumatic events motivates her says, “writing inspires me to not let upsetting life events control me.” Writing has the same effect on many others as well.

Why are writing skills more important in today's workplace than ever before? I believe that writing skills have always been important, but now they are more demanding because in the field of work there is more and more communication and different means where we can communicate, almost immediately. the willingness to know how to express the thoughts through writing is a matter that we all must work.

What does writing mean to me? Writing means getting people engaged in your piece. It means people wanting to keep reading what you wrote. The biggest thing about writing to me is expressing your thoughts and letting your mind go. Using good word choice and having a strong voice in the writing is something that makes it good.

It helps them to think what and why they write, whether their writing makes sense to others (Burton, 2009a). Besides, sharing to other peers or whole class about what they have written might enable them to practice their communication skills

Learning How to Learn Response Essay Everyone has learned something in their lifetime, most of us have done our harder learning at school. In school students learn math, history, English, science and other subjects.

A ‘good’ writing for me is one that manages to capture the hearts of the readers. Well, that is really an abstract answer. To put it simply, there are several characteristic that I define as a ‘good’ writing. First of all, there is several area which is flawless, which is the spelling and also the grammar in the writing. This two element is important in showing a good paper.

Writing is extremely comforting to me, I even find it therapeutic. As a young writer, I would write short stories on silly ideas like puppies or flowers because I enjoyed that. As I progressed through middle school, I picked up different styles of writing by reading books from various authors. The more styles of writing that I read, the more I wrote. I used to write about fictional characters and subjects.

According to John Bishop, “School and homework show students the important life lessons, such as how to read and communicate with others, that they will use as an adult.” Students can learn how important planning, staying organized and taking action is just from doing homework. Homework gives the students an opportunity to learn how to work independently. Although I understand that assigning homework is not beneficial at times, I still believe that assigning homework can teach students many skills and even help teachers. Assigning homework to students is constructive, therefore teachers should assign homework because it allows students to gain responsibility, time-management, perseverance, self-esteem, homework also gives students a chance to review the class material, and it also helps teachers determine how well the lessons and materials are being understood by their students.

The skills we are learn for college and university can help us in career, as well. Reports for office jobs, essays for scientific journals and many other careers require us to know academic writing. Learning it early and getting lots of practice is a good way to get ahead in our
