He grasped the trigger, and shot. ‘’Bang,‘‘ the bullet exploded with power right out of the gun. Jamie looked up to find his trophy buck, but he could not see it. Although he knew to wait fifteen minutes, his eagerness took over and Jamie left his spot. Being cautious to make as little sound as possible, he dashed over to find the spot where he shot the buck. The buck was nowhere to be seen, but something else important was there. It was blood, staining the ground dark red. He pierced the deer right where he needed to, in the heart. He followed the trail of blood like a cheetah stalking its prey. Then, Jamie spotted the creature, lying on the dirt, it was marvelous. He had got his first buck. Jamie proceeded towards the buck slowly, and steadily.
It is ten o'clock or so when i saw the clock that's what it looked like and on a saturday night like this I couldn't bear going to sleep as early as that. The moment I heard the banging on my window I could only Danny wilson begging for money. I rolled up the unscreened window to find a drunken Danny Wilson. “Danny you look terrible” I said he replied with “I need a favor from you Gary” he mumbled, “ I need you to hold onto my book my parents are trying to sell it and my grandfather left it to me when he passed” I agreed to keep the book safe and he stumbled off into the warm summer night. He never seemed to be someone that had any sentimental items or have attachments it was very peculiar of him.
Lea Vilna-Santos Mrs. English, 7th September 1st, 2015 The Giver, by: Lois Lowry Entry Log 9: Chapters 17-18: Question 5: I chapters 17-18, The Giver goes back to the memory of the failure-Rosemary, and Jonas finally finds out what happened to her. Rosemary was like Jonas because she was curious and eager to receive more memories. The Giver gave her only good memories in the beginning, which I think was a bad idea because, then, all there is left are bad memories. He loved her and didn’t want to hurt her, but they both knew it was her job to receive all the memories- even the negative ones.
Thank you for your response, but I 'm not sure that I agree with the last bullet. I don 't think that you meant that each "room" should have a sharps and biohazard container. Shouldn 't we only have those in examination rooms or the labs? The reception are wouldn 't need a sharps container, nor would it need a biohazard waste
Early the next morning, the Nell and Emma sailed to Harker’s Island to deliver engine parts for the hardware store. Since the recent spring rains made the roads impassable, they used the spritsail to get to the island that was located fifteen miles east of Beaufort by land. Over the long winter months, Nell looked toward shore for warmth when she oystered in the bitter north wind with her daddy. But earlier that week, the wind has shifted to the south and now she inhaled the delicate balminess that traveled from the Caribbean.
Task 1 I have chosen to read the book “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley. It is a dystopian book about humanity in a future where there is no longer suffering. No one is born from parents anymore; instead, people are cultivated in large Breeding centres, from different castes deciding which tasks they’re going to do in life. The perfect drugs, called soma, are being every week to keep everyone happy, the economy is controlled to perfection, and promiscuity is considered a virtue.
An animalistic roar cut through the still rather cold air, just as a few instructions were exchanged between the men down in the street through yelling and shouting. The animal, painted with red color that highly contrasting with its skin, only gave another distressed sound and bucked, making the trinkets on him jingle. The men, trying to calm the beast, all took a step back before the shouting began anew, none of them paying any attention to the silhouette high above them. Malik was paying close attention to the group of the celebrating, watching their efforts to get the animal to the streets for quite some time.

Additional information about the character I would like to know is more about Mrs.Mallard and her husband. I want to know what kind of a person he was and what kind of person Mrs.Mallard was as well. I would also like more information on the setting such as where the characters are and their surroundings. I believe that Chopin does not provide this information because she wants the reader to just be focused on the death of Brently Mallard and not all the other components of a story. I would say that the fact that the story is economical is a strength.

The protagonist in this story is Jim Hawkins, who is twelve or thirteen years old. On the beginning, he lives with his parents in a inn. He can be very courageous, like when he was gone back to the ship, when they were in Treasure Island. [quote: chapter 27, Pieces of Eight, page 250]: “I went below and did what I could for my wound; it pained me a good deal and still bled freely, but it was neither deep nor dangerous, nor did it greatly gall me when I used my arm. Then I looked around me, and as the ship was now, in a sense, my own, I began to think of clearing it from its last passenger—the dead man, O’Brien.

I am in a Jeep driving around with my cousin and the guide, when I heard a gunshot in the distance. Around five minutes later the guide’s radio kicks up and we hear our step cousin had shot something. We agree to meet up with the other group, which includes my step cousin. We pulled up to their car and got out to inspect the deer she had shot. They open the trunk to reveal a small deer, which, once again, was barely old enough to shoot.
