One of the reasons is that many young woman dont't make right decisions. Like when they are at a party and they have alcohol in there system, they really don't whats going on and they end up having sex. Most of the time the guy is the same and well he doesn't use a condom. In this case, the guy really does not want anything to do with the kid and decides to leave the mother of the child. And what mother wants to raise a baby without having the father there. Also some parents don't want the daughters to raise there baby like that without a dad or maybe they think that they might not be able to help out there daughters. And so the parents also give there daughters the option of aborting the baby. The same goes to when a woman gets raped, most of the people think "why should you keep the baby if it wasn't even made with love". And so they also decide to abort because of the same reason that the mother got
As of now, 19 out of the 50 states of the United States of America have ignored majority of Americans and have banned or restricted abortions. There are 13 states that completely banned abortions, 2 have six-week bans, 2 have fifteen weeks bans, 1 has an 18 week ban, and 1 more has a 20 week ban. Reproductive
It was not until the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade case in 1973 that abortion was legalized again. Texas legislators passed HB2 in 2013. This measure was severely restrictive for any women trying to seek an abortion. Before the implementation of HB2 Texas had more than 40 facilities that provided abortions.
So abortion is federally legal in the U.S. but different states may ban it or not for their own personal reasons. This topic is very controversial because many different people have different opinions on this topic. For example the two main opinions are called pro life and pro choice. The people who support pro life believe that all life is important and that an abortion should never happen unless to save the mother. The opposite opinion of pro life is pro choice and these people believe that it 's the woman 's choice to decide whether or not they want to have an abortion.
Breanna Ramirez Mr.Pantoja, Mrs.Ryglicki English 4 11 May 2016 Abortion: Is it Right or Wrong? How would you feel if someone wanted take your life? Imagine the feeling of having a mother that does not want you even before you are born. In 1821 Connecticut was the first state to pass the abortion law in the United States.
The mother is not neglectful to have a baby, the mother may not be able to financially provide, the mother could have been raped, the mother could have not believed in adoption. The mother could have
Another point that is clearly wrong is their claim is that a zygote, embryo or fetus aren’t alive or can’t feel anything. This is one of the most disturbed belief’s out there. A cell or a microorganism is alive a zygote contains DNA and cells clearly a zygote is alive. To state that abortion is not murder is such a contradiction because if a person commits a crime against a pregnant woman they are charged with two counts of capital murder according to Texas law. Abortion is usually the easy way out for an unwanted baby. (1) The baby will have birth defects. People who abort babies do not want the baby to have a medical problem and if the baby does, it isn’t good enough for them. (2) People cannot afford to provide for the baby.
The five most common reasons consist of the following: contraceptive failure, inability to support a child, ending unwanted pregnancies, to prevent a child being born with severe defects or medical problems, and if rape or incest occurred. “Over half of all women who have an abortion used a contraceptive method during the month they became pregnant” (ProCon). Unfortunately, birth control is not 100% effective, therefore some women will become pregnant while they are using their contraceptives. “A woman has the right to use birth control and have an abortion because the pregnancy affects her body and her body only” (Sanger 9). If a woman does not wish to carry a baby inside of her for nine months out of the year, she should not have to.
Firstly, some woman may be victims of rape at any time. This is one the biggest reasons why abortion is considered normal and the solution for such a problem. A lot of woman have faced rape and could not accept the fact of becoming pregnant in this way. The woman may find it very hard to raise a baby born in these circumstances with no legal marriage and no father to take care of the child.
She may have family and or financial problems preventing her from being able to properly care for the child. Women are forced to hear both sides of the debate and feel the intensity of a decision. Abortion is the said woman’s private decision and should not be stopped by any law. Only the woman herself knows her body, so abortion is a choice based solely on her feelings. The court case of Roe vs Wade established that
The US has the highest rate of abortion, out of other developed countries. According to The Washington Post, all states have a legal way to get an abortion, but they all have certain regulations to actually complete the procedure. According to the CDC, 1% of the 1 million abortions that happen in the US are rape victims. This is a big consideration in the political world about banning abortion.
Because they do not want their children to have the same miserable lives, they chose to terminate their pregnancy. Women of color and women in working class had to fight against
That is not true in this case a lot of young girls choose life for their little ones. Though there 's teens that abort, not because they want to, but because they feel pressured by their family or by not having the support she desires. About 38% would rather have an abortion than to keep the child, so this means 62% of them do keep the child. People might say that the children of these teen moms are going to have a difficult life but little do they know is that they want their children to be successful , they don’t want them to be like them. They want to give them a better life, a new world so they can take on the challenge.
Forty-One states require abortions to be performed by licensed health care providers, while nineteen states require them to be performed in a hospital. Gestational limits are in place for Forty-Three states, some forbid abortions after twenty weeks, some up until the third trimester. This means that after a baby is viable and able to survive outside of the womb, they can be legally killed. Due to abortion being a moral debate, public funding for these abortions are only legal in seventeen states, with thirty-two states offering funds for abortions where the mother's life is in danger. A lot of states see abortions as a big toll on women's mental and physical health, so they mandate counseling or a waiting period after a woman requests an abortion.
Lamentably, there are countless stories of males walking out of relationships, when they find out their significant other is pregnant. At this point, not only has it made the soon to be mother realize that said man wasn't right, but also that she doesn't want to face parent-hood by herself. Unfortunately, in many countries where abortion is totally illegal, or can only take place when one's life is at risk or has been raped, the mother will be forced into being a single parent. This is completely unfair. The mother thought she would have the support, both emotionally and possibly financially, of her significant other, however when this is taken, she has no choice but to do it without the support anymore.
