Alexander Hamilton is one of the Founding Fathers of the United States that not many people know about. American history shows that he has accomplished many things that have influenced how America functions today. Being the first Secretary of Treasury allowed him to influence the creation of the First Bank of America which has provided the foundation for our financial way of life. Additionally he was arguably the most prolific author of the Federalist papers that many U.S. courts and legislatures use today to interpret our laws. Lastly, he helped create the branch of the military known as the U.S. Coast Guard which serves and helps citizens in the United States by patrolling and protecting the coastline and seas of the U.S. along with saving lives at sea.

A bank gave the United States the opportunity to print their own currency, so that they would no longer be forced to utilize the British pound. This served as a solution to the United States identity issue, as it no longer identified itself with that of its oppressor’s currency.

They were initially written to encourage the states to approve the new Constitution.
