Alexander Hamilton is one of the Founding Fathers of the United States that not many people know about. American history shows that he has accomplished many things that have influenced how America functions today. Being the first Secretary of Treasury allowed him to influence the creation of the First Bank of America which has provided the foundation for our financial way of life. Additionally he was arguably the most prolific author of the Federalist papers that many U.S. courts and legislatures use today to interpret our laws. Lastly, he helped create the branch of the military known as the U.S. Coast Guard which serves and helps citizens in the United States by patrolling and protecting the coastline and seas of the U.S. along with saving lives at sea.
One of Alexander Hamilton’s accomplishments that shaped how America operates today is a result of him being the first Secretary of Treasury of the United States. While in this federal position he helped create what is commonly known as the First Bank of the United States(History.com Staff). Supreme Court decisions have also referenced these papers when justices write their summary judgements(Costly). Without out the set of 51 letters Hamilton wrote the U.S. Constitution that we know today may have never passed(History.com Staff).
