Yash Patel Mrs. Choi AP Literature October 2015 1984 Dialectal Journals for Part 2 Text Response 1. “In front of him was an enemy who was trying to kill him; in front of him, also was a human creature… He had indistinctively started forward to help her,” (Orwell 106) This quote shows that even in this time where they live in a life where they are being manipulated, Winston is still living in a time where he is experiencing hatred, but still maintains what keeps him normal or humane, which keeps him separated from everyone else. This hate is showing that people still have hate for each other and still want to kill each other but it also shows the true human he is by helping her when she was threatened.

The Hitler youth was a very tragic but yet, really smart idea. Hitler was one of the smartest people in strategy by brainwashing the new generations to believe they were born to fight, die, and be loyal to hitler. This gave him a way bigger army. These kids were trained to kill and obey hitler only(machines).
Boston Massacre is a beautiful place to live. But there was something changed! The people changed, the rules changed and everything seems different. And I knew that there is something would happen to Boston. And you can see the people are tension or nervous and some of them were upset and sad.

War is a harsh reality that is inflicted upon the unwilling through the “need” of it’s predecessors and those whom wish it. All Quiet on The Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque is about 19 year old Paul and his friends in the “Second Company”. Even though they are just out of school age, they have already seen things that many could not bear to even think about. Eventually, all of his friends die, and even Paul too, dies. Remarque uses diction and syntax as literary devices to express his anti-war theme, or lesson.
(Amela) This quote has a tone of despair in it. The father had to strain to survive and get back to his family, however he didn’t make it out alive. The family knew he was dead. Even though they didn’t know how, they still knew he was gone and would never come back, which caused strain on the entire rest of the family.
December 28th, 1944, near Humain, Belgium. For most of my life introductions were a rarity. I lived on a small farm about fifteen kilometers away from the nearest town, one which we only visited for school, supplies and church. Everyone knew everyone, and if you were a stranger you were not one for long.
Did Adolf Hitler really shoot himself? On April 30 1945, Adolf Hitler committed suicide in his underground bunker. His body was later discovered and identified by the Soviets before being rushed back to Russia. But could it be true that Hitler did not die that day, and escaped to Argentina?
Quotation: “Last night I thought about all that kerosene I’ve used in the past ten years. And I thought about books. And for the first time I realized that a man was behind each one of the books. A man had to think them up. A man had to take a long time to put them down on paper.

In the early 1940s, Adolf Hitler told Germany the single story of his opinions of the Jewish race. His single story led Germany to blame Jews, persecute Jews, and kill Jews. You would think the nation would stand against wrongdoings, but most were brainwashed by Hitler’s perspective, and the rest, cowards. Germany was manipulated to think a certain way, without caring to hear what the Jews had to say, and ultimately reacted in a harmful way to the Jews. You may ask, why is this important?
Power through unity was furthered through the actions of an expansive state apparatus that used laws, decrees, propaganda, concentration camps, and violence to create the racially pure and nationally dominant German Reich (empire). According to fascism, individuals are not equal by birth (or nature) and should not be equal under the laws. To the contrary, individuals are divided by natural abilities and social worth, and society should be arranged hierarchically to reflect the differences between ‘‘naturally superior’’ and ‘‘naturally inferior’’ groups. Hitler added a psycho sadistic element to fascist elitist ideology by proclaiming that the average person not only had an obligation to submit to the elites but actually desired to be dominated by them. Non elites achieved gratification from being ruled by domineering masters, Hitler
The Nazi capture of power has come to occupy a rather peculiar position in the history of Germany. This significance rests more on what happened after 1933 when Adolf Hitler and his Nazi group lead the greatest mass movement with the broadest popular appeal that Germany had ever seen. The persecution of Jews, the downfall of the Weimar Republic and the appeal to the public of Germany through propaganda has jet packed the Nazis and Hitler to power through the themes of war, racism, anti-Semitism, violence and order explains and demonstrates how the Nazis rose to power. The movement originated with the German Workers Party DAP but shortly changed their name after Adolf Hitler joined in 1919 (and was made party leader in 1921) to National Socialist
