I adore the characters in the book it’s a very enjoyable book. The mystery in this book is very admiring because there are very different elements that can make it a great book. The fact that Justice Lawrence Wargrave ended up being the killer came to a surprise to me. Usually I am not one for reading but I highly enjoyed this book because the characters all had different personalities that helped support the book being such a great read. My favorite character had to have been Vera Clawthone because mostly she was the protagonist and that means that she was the main character in the story although I also liked philip lombard too. I am very happy that I got a chance to read this book because I probably would never get the chance to read it again. I may read another one of agatha christie 's books because I enjoyed this one so much but as I look her books that she has written, a lot of them are about murder so maybe not but i’ll just have to read and see. This book to me reminds me of the gameboard clue and how it sort of resembles it. So in overall i enjoyed this book and believe that it is a good read, I think everyone should get a chance to read this
Left alone on an island without parents, the children on the island had no one to rid them of their fears. The horrid upon horrid dreams eventually lead the children to make an imaginary “Beast”. Without no outlet for their fears, the children made their own. Therefore the
Although there are a few parts i did not like. Sometimes her use of description was a bit of a bad thing. For example the ending did seem a bit unfair and unfinished. they told about events but never tells what happens
This book was interesting for me because it allowed me to relate to a character. I love reading novels that not only allow me to feel a connection with a character, but allow me to relate to their personality or
Furthermore, it raises interesting debate questions such as if it was right to let Sykes die. In addition, I love it for its symbols and the fact that despite it not being how I expected, the protagonist Delia will be able to thrive and continue her life without the poisonous snake that is Sykes
Lastly, I enjoyed how the author made the characters come to life by telling the reader specific things about their personality as the book went on. I appreciated the use of foreshadowing is because I was able to tell if Branwell would, for example, ever talk and who
This island has no adults, no civilization, and no rules, making it seemingly perfect for a group of young boys. The boys’ adventures are full of insanity, fun, and fear. The plot of this
Ten people, ten murders, two weeks. In the novel, ” And Then There Were None,” ten people were convinced that they were invited to a dream house on a private island for a relaxing vacation, to meet with friends, or to be employed. But, what the guests did not know is that each of them had committed a crime and had been brought there to pay for what they had done. The ten people had been trapped there due to the distance from the mainland and terrible weather, but then soon they all start to die one by one in a way that is similar to ten different deaths in a nursery rhyme. The elements she used to give off the mystery feel included of the main conflict, setting, characterization, and the author’s techniques of giving clues.
The story and the characters really stood out to me. They really expressed themselves and the setting in the story was very cool to learn about. I enjoyed the pictures in the book because they guide the reader into the setting and the time period in the book. I recommend this book to people who are interested in learning about World War II and people who are interested in biographies and survival stories. One of my favorite quotes from the book was “A lifetime of glory is worth a moment of pain.”
Like when Janina and Misha were hiding from the Jackboots, I never wanted to stop reading so I could find out what happened. Overall, this book was great and it taught me alot about what people were feeling throughout this horrible
There were a lot of themes that I picked up. Kit was a very brave and courageous character and everyone had a lot of loyalty. In conclusion, I would recommend this book. I thought it was pretty
I absolutely loved this book. The story really sucked me in, and I loved the idea of a small town with such a big secret. Kendall is a strong female character who is driven to the very end. The twist is unexpected and
It is a great love story only enhanced by the outlandish characters and constant mockery. The pacing of the novel is slow at first until half way through the first volume. The plot then accelerates and by the third volume it is hard to put down. Characters such as Mr. Collins, Mrs. Bennet, and Lady De Bourgh were all hysterical caricatures meant that livened up the novel during times when the plot was thin. The novel would not have been as cohesive or interesting without characters to add comic relief.
The author meticulously gives details of the characters in the story. The phrase “island shaped somewhat like a question mark” gives a fitting opening to the story and aptly justifies the mysterious nature of the events in the writing. The language used is extremely lucid, interesting and flawless, which is intended for a learned audience. The narrative style keeps the awe, curiosity and amazement of the readers alive throughout the story.
In And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie harnesses modern day mysteries and makes many mysteries to be what they are today. In this novel modernism is used to create suspense and a sense of mystery. In this case, does it make or break the
