Martin Luther King Jr. "The time is always right to do what is right". Martin Luther King was not happy with segregation, so he spoke up and gave African Americans a voice. Martin Luther King Jr. is the most effective citizen of the 20th century because he is brave determined and a leader. Martin Luther King Jr, was born on January, 15, 1929 and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was the leader of the Civil Rights Movement from the mid 1950s to the time he was assassinated, which was on April 4, 1968, in Memphis Tennessee. Martin Luther King 's grandfather and father were ministers, so Martin decided to carry that on by becoming a minister himself. Leading him to be able to give the speeches he gave and be heard. Movement. He was the person to speak his mind and explain that what was happening was not right. African Americans marched to Washington DC, which was where he gave his "I Have a Dream" speech on August 28, 1963. This was called the Million Man March. He also pushed for the idea of fighting for justice and civil right, by organizing non violent protest and campaign which helped bring in “tension” in society that will let people recognize and to not let it be ignored. Overall Martin Luther King jr utilizes pathos, ethos , and logos very effectively.
The most important decision of a leader is the style of leading they decide to use when inspiring others, or providing a vision for the future. By looking at the past, it is proven that some leadership styles are guaranteed to be more effective than others. The leadership style of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X during the Civil Rights provides significant evidence of how different styles of leading can turn out to be a major success or defeat. Malcolm X’s leadership style included using violence to protest against violence and unequal rights, as well as supporting the segregation of African Americans and the whites. Martin Luther King’s style included nonviolent marches and protests against violence, and peacefully fighting for integrating the blacks and whites.
In the ever changing world, the most drastic change of all is the time period of the civil rights movement. There’s many historical figures that emerged from this time period, and one of those figures being Martin Luther King Jr. MLK was known for being an incredible spokesperson, a kind, loving man, and was a strong leader for nonviolence to achieve equal rights for Black Americans. King was an incredible individual and helped many African Americans receive their equality they rightfully deserved. King achieved this through speeches, on being his famous “I have a dream” which he said in front of thousands on August 28th 1963 at the Lincoln memorial in Washington D.C. He also wrote the letter from Birmingham jail when he was arrested in Alabama on April 16th 1963, which put an end to fallacies said by eight Alabama clergymen.
Martin Luther King Jr., a minister and social activist, led the Civil Rights Movement in the United States from the mid-1950s until his death by assassination in 1968. He was an advocate for equality between all races and a civil and economic rights Activist. Because of his leadership, bravery and sacrifice to make the world a better place, Martin Luther King was awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the most influential leaders of his time and played a crucial role in the African-American Civil Rights movement. Luther was a charismatic leader who took a firm stand against the oppressive and racist regime of the United States (US), devoting much of his life towards uniting the segregated African-American community of the US. As a leader of his people, King took the stand to take radical measures to overcome the false promises of the sovereign government that had been addressing the issues of racial segregation through unimplemented transparent laws that did nothing to change the grim realities of the society. Hence, King’s works always had the recurring theme of the unity and strength of combined willpower.

Dr. King expressed the many ways that African Americans have experienced racial discrimination and afterwards, ends his speech talking about his dream of equality with all races. This involved many African American citizens to take verbal and physical abuse from the police and not being able to do anything about it.
