English Should Abortion Remain legal in the U.S.? Abortion is one of the most controversial topics in our time. Many people believe that abortion is immoral and it should be considered as murder. On the other hand, some support the idea that it is the women's right to choose to have an abortion. Although both sides have valid arguments, it is a subject that continues to divide the country. Polls taken in the U.S. show that most Americans do not support abortion, except under certain circumstances. First, there is general agreement that if the mother’s life is at risk a person can justify an abortion. Secondly, most people on both sides of this issue, whether they are “ pro-choice” and “ pro-life” factions agree that abortion is justified in cases of incest. And lastly, the consensus among the opposing groups is that abortions are justified in cases of rape. Also, many people do not …show more content…

Before abortion was legalized in parts of the world, many women would turn to illegal and unsafe methods such as coat hanger abortions. Prior to Roe v. Wade, as many as 1.2 million deaths occurred among women in the U.S because of
In current news and for the past few years the topic of abortion has been a very prevalent and heated argument. Both sides to this topic argue over who is right and who is wrong, the liberal side believing that abortion should be legal while the conservative side believes that abortion is wrong and should be banned. There lies middle ground where certain people agree recklessness should not be cared for, but those who are victims of rape and sexual violence should be. Overall the topic is discussed often and is the center of many politicians campaign, by either abolishing it as a thing or by making it more affordable and available to everyone.
Pick a crowd, any crowd and one is bound to find it divided when it comes to the subject of abortion. Defined as the voluntary termination of a pregnancy, abortion is one of the most controversial and polarizing topics which is currently dominating the news cycle. Each side has its reasons and is very passionate about where its stand. On one hand, there is the extremely conservative pro-life side which believes that life is sacred and that abortion is not morally permissible under any circumstances. On the other hand, there is the liberal pro-choice side which opposes any interference with a woman’s right to choose.
Abortion, a very opinionated topic in our society all over the world. For there are two most popular opinions perhaps even more but I am focusing on the two opinions of either Pro Abortion or Pro Choice. I am pro choice myself yet the most popular choice is that it should be illegal, I have came to this conclusion from a CNN poll. Pro choice rings it at 39% while Pro Abortion rings in with a 58%. As to why I am Pro Choice, here’s why.
Introduction Abortion remains one of the most controversial topics in politics and culture in the United States. The government, religious groups, women and men, cannot reach an agreement or negotiation on what should be done. The argument being; can the state, religious entities, and citizens have the right to override a woman’s autonomy, and does her right to abort override a potential life’s’ right to life? These two standpoints can be mind spinning, and that is why this paper will argue having two dichotomous standpoints is causing further conflict, with no future agreement in sight. How can the “pro-life” and “pro-choice” debate deepen their understanding of abortion, value the complexity of the issue, and reach a conclusion that will benefit both women and potential babies?
However, is very difficult for a person to express his/ her opinion on abortion, as it is not an openly and widely discussed topic. Moreover, many people consider abortion as a safe way to end pregnancy whereas; many others consider it as unethical as it kills the child before birth. Abortion has now become a controversial topic. There are many arguments whether abortion is right or wrong. For supporting my argument, I studied three articles, in one article, the author argues from the religious point of view that abortion is wrong and gives references from the Bible to prove the argument.
Columns of commentary favoring abortion rights outnumber those opposing abortion by a margin of more than 2 to 1 on the op-ed pages of most of the nation's major daily newspapers. Overall coverage of abortion tends to be presented, perhaps subconsciously, from the abortion- rights perspective. The reasons why women have abortions are diverse and vary across the world. Some of the most common reasons are to postpone childbearing to a more suitable time or to focus energies and resources on existing children. In addition to this, being unable to afford a child either in terms of the direct costs of raising a child or the loss of income while caring for the child, the lack of support from the father, inability to afford additional children, desire to provide schooling for existing children, disruption of one's own education, relationship problems with their partner, a perception of being too young to have a child, unemployment, and not being willing to raise a child conceived as a result of rape or incent ,are all the sensitive causes of this growing trend.

Abortion has been an ongoing issue in America in recent years. Many protests stating that it is the human right whether a mother decides to keep her child or not. However, a big chunk of the people in the United States believes that abortions are cruel and label them as a murder. Back in the 18th century, abortions were allowed under the law and which many people practiced. The issue only became illegal when “quickening” occurs.
Every single day, a silent horror kills more Americans than those that were killed on 9/11.This year alone over 34,060,630 babies have been killed due to abortion(“Abortions Worldwide This Year”). Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus (“Definition of Abortion - Google Search”). One of the most inhumane actions is murder. Abortion shouldn't be legalized for the following reasons: the unborn child feels pain during the process, it could possibly cause psychological damage, it shows that human life is disposable, and abortion is MURDER!!!! During the abortion process the baby feels pain in the womb.
Abortion Abortion is the ending of pregnancy by abolishing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus. Abortion is a very controversial topic, for example, one side of this topic believes abortion is cruel and committing murder, while the other side believes that since the fetus or embryo isn 't developed enough to be considered a living human being yet, that abortion is not commiting murder. Despite this information, there is a lot more to abortion than the opinion of it being “right” or “wrong”. According to “Students for life” who are pro life, about 1 million abortions are executed each year in the US. That data adds up to 22% of pregnancies ending in abortion.
Abortion is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy. It is considered a very delicate subject and even sometimes taboo among the population. Thus in some countries it is very likely to happen. According to Alan Guttmacher’s Institute report: Sharing Responsibility Women, Society and Abortion Worldwide, China has the leading number of abortions with 7,930,000 each year. If we translate it, 26.1 per 1000 women arelikely to have an abortion.

The second argument debated by pro-choice and pro-life believers is that along the moral lines. Is abortion immoral or moral? Pro-life supporters would argue that the taking of a human life which, begins at the time of conception is morally wrong regardless of the circumstances or the stage of pregnancy which an abortion is performed. However, the controversy over abortion avoids some of the very real emotions, issues and stereotypes facing women of today to oppose abortions. Society has formed its own opinion regarding abortions that stereotypes and individuals are present and occur in many groups for different reasons.
Killing a human's considered murder, depending on how extensive it is, has different charges; such as: first-degree murder, second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, and involuntary manslaughter. A human has a heartbeat, but so does every living thing. So, what gives people the right to kill something that has a heartbeat but has not been born yet? Under very slim circumstances is it alright to kill something that has not been born yet; however, there are still arguments about abortion and whether it is right or not. Many people find it wrong and some say it is against their religion to abort an unborn child; on the other hand, people think it is the woman's right to choose to keep the child, from a case of rape, incest or health issues threatening the mother's life.
