The Marvel franchise is generating a sensation that is quickly capturing the general public into its web. Its style of telling stories is revolutionary. Marvel has spanned their story over twelve movies, three television shows, and much more in production. However, there are a lot of similarities and differences between the movies, “Avengers” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, and its television adaptation, “Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D.”. Avengers is set in a fictional universe called the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It follows the lives of six individuals who each acquired special abilities and/ or super powers through various events. In the beginning we encounter the film’s major antagonist, Loki the God of Mischief, acquiring some sort of ultimate …show more content…
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson, takes the place of S.H.I.E.L.D. director from Nick Fury during his hiatus at the end of the first Avengers film but Nick Fury makes a few cameos to create tie-in stories with the actual film series it is based off. Acting director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Phil Coulson, makes his own team of skilled agents and operatives, just like Nick Fury did in Avengers, to investigate several strange cases that have surfaced because of the Avengers debut to the world. S.H.I.E.L.D., otherwise known as Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate, is a essentially a teaser for the actual film series to keep fans happy while they excitedly wait for the next Marvel film to premiere. The series tells the story of the Avengers through the eyes of people effected by the Battle of New York. It gives Marvel a more realistic sense; by the action being toned down quite a bit, a darker tone is created, and it focuses more on the actual storylines Marvel had developed instead of the normally aggressive scenes associated with Marvel. The series starts to relate even more to the movies right before the initial release of the second movie in order to keep the story lines similar and audiences content with the flow between
Both novel The Chrysalids by John Wyndham and the film "X-Men: First Class" by Matthew Vaughn tell a thrilling and interesting story about mutants and people with supernatural powers. The Chrysalids revolves around a city named Waknuk in Labrador, many years in the future after God sent tribulation which vaguely represents nuclear destruction. Many people started to show abnormalities like an extra toe or extra long limbs, including the animals and plants. To the people of Waknuk, anything that isn't identical to the True Image Of Man is considered a blasphemy and is banished. The story follows a young boy named David Strorm with telepathic powers and the book follows him through his struggles.
Really the movie is more of a summary of the book, rather than a tie in. One good thing about the simplicity of the movie was the fact that it wasn’t really that hard to follow, which is good for the average movie goer who wants a decent movie to sit down to that looks good and enjoy popcorn with. Where do I even start with the difference between the book and the movie. Firstly the movie places most of the side characters out of order when they show up, for example when ender is launching off for the first time to battle school he meets Alai and Bean on the launch. In the book Alai is already in salamander army to begin with in the story.
The movie and the story are the same as it carries on at this point. Essentially, the middle of the story is where it starts to
Unit 1 Essay "A hero is not a movie character. A Hero is an ordinary person who finds the strength and courage to persevere and keep moving in spite of all the obstacles, then change because of them"-Anurag Prakash Ray. The author changes and reveals the obstacle to foster hero growth throughout a story. Revealing Loki as the obstacle in the movie Thor, directed by Kenneth Branagh, made the hero overcome pride, grow emotionally stable, and reclaim his dominance. Fate and time were similarly revealed by the authors of Around the world in 80 day's Jules Verne, and The Odssey's Holmer.
Did you know that at the end of the movie Black Panther, Killmonger felt content? In the movie Black Panther, a theme that keeps coming up in the protagonist and antagonist of this film is revenge vs mercy. I will be talking about how T'challa is a merciful man and king, while Killmonger is full of revenge. I believe T'challa and Killmonger display these two themes extremely well, as T'challa feels merciful towards Killmonger, while Killmonger wants revenge because of his death of his father. Revenge is displayed through Killmonger in many ways, one of which including how he wanted to kill T'challa.
They are realistic because in spite being superheroes, Captain America and the other Avengers have human, mortal cravings. They are made of flesh and blood, they get hurt, and can be killed. They have tempers and consciences that
Batman vs Superman For my compare and contrast paragraph I chose Batman vs Superman. Batman and Superman are alike in a lot of ways but there some differences. There are both alike because they are both super heroes, both from DC, and both are good at what they do. Batman in different from Superman is that Batman can’t fly and Superman can fly because his powers. Another thing is that Batman fights in Gotham the most crime ridden city.
Dr. Abraham Erskine asked Rogers to join an experiment to make the ultimate soldier to defeat the Germans. In Captain America: The First Avenger, Rogers goes through the different stages of a hero's journey, which are: the birth/beginning, the call to adventure,
It is crazy to think how pop culture can point to the things it works so hard to reject, but in the case of Divergent by Veronica Roth, parallels between it and the gospel abound. Divergent is set in a dystopian Chicago in which the citizens are divided into 5 factions; the brave, the selfless, the intelligent, the honest and the kind. The story follows Tris Prior, a sixteen year old girl who realizes her Divergence, or possession of characteristics of more than one faction. The novel and film adaption of Divergent include many similarities to the gospel, notably the emphasis on a choice of commitment, the concept that we need more than one characteristic to grow, that salvation is brought about through sacrifice, and that humankind is at its heart, evil.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a Marvel team super hero film. Nonetheless, it is controversial to the audience whether it fits the sub-genre of a team-up film such as The Avengers. Due to the characters, none of them have their individual movie like Iron Man. However, James Gunn uses points of view and actor’s acting to enhance the intimacy among the characters that makes this movie fits into the team super hero film genre. In addition, Gunn uses makeups to not make any of the roles too standout because they all have unique appearances that balance out on screen.
And you know what? I didn 't expect it to get that Seriously, I know about the character because some refer to him as a mixture of wolverine and captain America but I don 't know the story
