Bears Are Us Paul and Pete have been life-long friends who attended college together studying wildlife biology. After they graduated from college, they both took salaried positions within the U.S. Forest Service. During this time, they decided to dedicate their spare time to understanding and appreciating the protection of grizzly bears. Paul and Pete have formed a recognized partnership, by doing business under the fictitious name of “Bears Are Us”. Although they lack written documentation, the joint management of the organization involves collecting donations, conducting presentations, selling books and prints, writing articles, and actively promoting other events related to the protection and benefit of the grizzly bear. “An LLC is an unincorporated business entity that combines the most favorable attributes of general partnerships, limited partnerships and corporations. An LLC may elect to be taxed as a partnership, the owners can manage the business, and the owners have limited liability” (Cheesman, 2006, p. 382). This structure would protect the liability risks and the interest to Pete and Paul. In order for Pete and Paul to form an LLC in the state of Colorado, they will need to file a formal article of organization with the Colorado Secretary of State which will be governed according to Colorado State law. In Colorado, every LLC must also appoint a Registered Agent. A Registered Agent is, “an individual or business entity that agrees to accept legal papers on the LLC’s behalf if it is sued” (Fishman). “Bears Are Us” as an LLC, “will not be taxed at the entity level, but its income or losses ‘flow through’ to the members’ individual income tax returns” (Cheesman, 2006, p. 383). According to the structure of the LLC, the members cannot usually be held liable for the debts or liability of the LLC and are liable only up to the sum of their capital investment in the company. “This protection is typically referred to as the ‘corporate veil’ or ‘corporate shield’” (Scrofano). Under the LLC code, “Bears Are Us” will realize every benefit of the informal structure of the partnership, but will be better shielded from liability. The company may further benefit from the formally organized and publicly recognized status of the limited liability company
Production: This department is responsible for manufacturing products for sale by Apple and RSPCA. This is important as without the products or services, this business cannot run or generate profit as every business needs goods to sell in return for capital. This is same with RSPCA as the department in RSPCA also manufacture their products for animals and they offer it to customers in order to raise awareness and not for profit as it is a charity welfare. This department also deals with planning production, obtaining accurate materials and equipment.
Within Aldo Leopold’s novel, A Sand County Almanac, the concept of trophic cascade is brought forth with his idealistic mindset for “a land ethic”. To Leopold, the land ethic “changes the role of Homo sapiens from conqueror of the land-community to plain member and citizen of it. It implies respect for his fellow-members and also respect for the community as such” (Leopold 871). Utilizing this mindset, the actions, consequences, and events from Timothy Treadwell’s life depicted in the documentary Grizzly Man have an understanding and purpose for why they transpire the way they do.

Linda Watson spends her twilight years rescuing prairie dogs. She has relocated some 80,000 over thirty years, more than any other person in the world. Watson spends every day traveling to farms, stalking “barking squirrel” burrows, using a hose to pump in water and dish soap, and grabbing threatened, wild animals with her bare, scarred hands. Prairie dogs are not well-regarded in West Texas, as few creatures are, a fact Watson identifies with as a woman reared in the macho ranching business. Before she left the world of breaking ungulates, a young Watson found herself trapped in the hostile terrain of an abusive husband.
Iowa is filled with astounding places such as the Mississippi river, the Wildlife Refugee and the Indian creek. All of these natural resources and wildlife are slowly getting turned into farming and agriculture. Although, both are extremely beneficial and important to our society, there needs to be a balance between the too. The organization that is trying to preserve this balance between wildlife and agriculture is the Iowa Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Unit. The organization goes along with Iowa States mission and vision because they are trying to make the world a better place and they are putting technology to work.
“I don’t want to know what time it is. I don’t want to know what day it is or where I am. None of that matters” (Krakauer 7). In Krakauer’s novel, Into the Wild, one of the key themes is the fact that the main character, Chris McCandless, values his principles more than his own family, possessions, or the people he cares about.
Pro-Hunting Argument To hunt or not to hunt, many see it as a negative and its being cruel to animals. Other think if humans keep hunting, animals are going to go extinct. III. [Credibility Statement] I have researched this topic because I wanted to gain greater understanding, and be informed for when the issue arises again in the next few months. IV. [Preview/Thesis Statement] Today I will argue that the grizzly bear is prepared to be delisted in the Greater Yellowstone region for three reasons.
As the world we live in today continues to warm up, the problems surrounding the survival of the world’s beloved polar bear continues to grow. Over the past twenty years, we’ve seen a change in the number of polar bears in the Arctic and have witnessed a decrease of the amount of Arctic ice in the sea. Many scientist have come up with ideas to tackle the problem, but there hasn’t been a solution that has greatly influenced the predicament at hand. Ultimately, when discussing what to do about the endangered animals, it is valuable to consider what the species needs in order to remain; a healthy population and genetic diversity. Andrew Derocher, biologist at the University of Alberta, and the rest of his team have come up with a few ways to combat these needs.

Not to mention, LLP is only available for specific occupations.
