By Derek’s standards and his outside group they were not allowed to interact with anybody but their own race. When Derek disrespected his brotherhood during recreation time by sitting alone, the group members saw that as deviant which is why he was then raped by them to teach him a lesson and put him back in line. A second example of deviance was when Derek was released from prison he wanted to end his life with the group and start a new life. But his group saw him as a god because he murdered two black people when he told his group members they called him a traitor and a nigger lover.

Lucius Hunt is a strong young man that likes to keep to himself his presence in known wherever he goes He plans to marry his childhood friend Ivy Walker. John Proctor doesn’t always have his priorities in order and has shown that after committing adultery and because of his actions the life of his wife could be in jeopardy. Lucius and John are kind people in their own way.

The movie I chose to write my psychology review was on Girl Interrupted. The movie was based on the writer Susanna Kaysen’s and her eighteen month stay at a mental hospital, but the movie was directed by James Mangold. My reasoning’s for choosing this movie was due to the fact that it carried many psychological concepts to it. The movies main script revolved around Susana’s and with the crazy women in a mental institution. This movie had two main characters and they were Susanna (Winona Ryder) and Lisa (Angelina Jolie).

This relates to the moral growth that Huck Finn experiences throughout his journey. Mark Twain’s controversial novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, can be said to be a compelling story about how one individual, Huck Finn, goes against society’s ideals. Huck’s moral development can be said to be based primarily on those around him, especially Jim. Many instances also influence Huck’s morals, particularly during the raft journey that will change his beliefs and morals.

The film highlights various aspects of human conditions like psychology, sociology and philosophy. The mental institute tries to suppress the mentally challenged people rather than to try to communicate with them.
