The book I read was, This Journal Belongs To Ratchet. The author of my book was Nancy J.Cavanagh. This book is about a girl named Ratchet who lives with her because when she was little her mom died. She doesn't have many friends, but that changes in the end of the book.
Ratchet is a happy, kind, smart girl she loves her dad even though he is a little crazy. One challenge that Ratchet faces in her life is that she doesn't have a mom. Once there was a park that Ratchet and her dad loved, but they were going to cut all the trees down so they could make a strip-mall. When Ratchet and her dad heard about this they got very upset. So Ratchet wrote an essay and entered it in a essay challenge, and guess what? Ratchet won the contest. The people

I'm 12 years, love to do cheerleading, tennis, volleyball and to be with my friends and family. When I was 9 years old I moved to Florida from Sweden, and that made a huge impact on my life because I was used to the cold and speaking Swedish, but then I came here and my whole life changed! One challenge that I face in my life is that I have an Autistic brother. I love my brother because he is the most kind hearted person I have ever met in my entire life! Me and Ratchet have a huge challenge in our lives but we both still are happy and were both just being strong. We also never give up. For example, Ratchet didn't give up on the Moss Tree Park that her and her dad loved so much, and once I was playing a tennis tournament and I had not gotten any point jet, but I just thought to my self that I could do it, And I did it I won! Here is a quote from the story "Before Dad or I could say anything, the phone in the garage rang. It was the editor of the Blainesfield Beacon calling me to tell me some really great news- MOSS TREE PARK IS SAVED!
What I have learned from this book is even if your having a bad time you can just relax and think about all of the great things you have in your life. Just like when Ratchet found out that her mom had died she was really sad at first but then It got a whole lot better because she thought about how much her dad loves her and then she feels much
The story touches on things such as poverty, alcoholism, bullying, abuse, etc. It is an extremely eye-opening, humbling book that shows you that you can change your life around no matter how you were raised. This book is relatable to many people, including children and teenagers who are or may have gone through some of the same things that Jeannette and her siblings did. The theme that most resonated with me while reading the book was alcoholism. It is something that has been a part of my family life for a long time.
During her walk she hears footsteps behind her. She knows that it is not someone she knows but whispers, “Mom,” just incase. During all of this she reminds herself of what her mother would think. She thinks to herself, “These were all things mother would have said showed a lack of thought.” Then
Chapters 1820 depict how something so special to you can be taken right out of your life. Often people can be taken for granted and such as with the time they give or the love they give. In these couple of chapters there was to be a bad hurricane. Janie and Tea Cake her husband had been warned they did not listen to the warnings and were eventually caught into the storm. This ultimately resulted in the loss of friends and houses along with the lost of Tea Cake her third husband which was bitten by a rabid dog and given rabies.

The book I read is called ‘Revolution’ by Jennifer Donnelly. The story takes place in Boston, Massachusetts and Paris, France. The setting is important to the story because Paris is where the French Revolution took place and it is the place where our main character starts changing. It is about a girl named Andi. She is a senior in highschool.
The part of the story where Boone, his dog, and the kids are in Independence Hall talking about Angela’s mother’s death seems to be just about her mom. After reading the whole chapter you realize that the story of Angela’s mother dying involved so much more than just a bomb. At that point it was still really confusing. You find out that there is a high school boy on a field trip planting a bomb to try to create a holocaust.
The two books I read was And Then There Were None (ATTWN) and Confessions: The Private School Murders. ATTWN, the first book, was about these 10 people who were invited to this island, some of them for a job and some were invited just to hangout and have fun. One by one they start being killed and they try to figure out who is the murderer. The second book I read, Confessions: The Private School Murders, was about this young girl, Tandy, and her two brothers.
