Bernie Sanders According to the Candidate, "Bernie Sanders is very liberal when it comes to individual rights. Sanders is more liberal than the average 2016 Democratic Party presidential candidate."(Page 1). A president is a leader of business, government, and branch of government typically a democrat or republican. A leader is used to construct for leaders of different groups. American people hire our president for a four-year term, and when their period of four years is up, they can be retired or chase someone else. A president could not be elected twice. According to Bernie Sanders, "Gun control legislation should ultimately fall on individual states, except instant background checks to prevent firearms from finding their way into the hands of criminals and the mentally ill, and a federal ban on assault weapons."(Page 2). But, this is a good way to prevent people from getting killed by someone who does not use firearms for the right reason. Some people have guns for hunting and protection. We could not stop someone from using guns for hunting if that's what they are into. Some people grow up with their families learning how to shoot. Having firearms for protection would be okay if you have a gun license because that is for safety. Bernie thinks it is a good idea to have background checks before people sell firearms. Due to these three causes, Bernie Sanders should be the president of the United States. He is a major activist for women's rights; women should have contraceptive plans instead of going to Planned Parenthood to get pregnancy tests or abortions. Women should have a right to an abortion if only they could afford one. Even if women do not have an abortion, they still have resources that help single, low-income families. Bernie
