Introduction
I will be writing about a local independent department store called EIAr Sports, bases in a small market town. EIAr Sports sell martial arts equipment and have had some issues and are about to make some huge changes. I have to investigate what these issues are and how they can be resolved. Functional Areas AC1.1 Sales is transferring property, goods and services for a sum of cash. Most businesses have sales targets as a part of their aims and objectives. This helps the business to grow and expand because they are making a really good profit. Sales also have the responsibility to organise sales.

If a customer contacts the business because of a damaged product, customer service will be the first to receive the contact and are the frontline of dealing with customers. Their goal is to keep customer satisfaction levels up and make sure customers are happy.
Marketing are in-charge of finding out what people want, hence why they do market research. They find out what people want so they can sell those types of products and keep sales up. As sales are such a huge part of a business, marketing are in-charge of getting the custom by satisfying customer needs.
Having your business online can drastically help the business by reaching out to many more people. Having a business online can greatly improve sales as more and more people order online and don’t want to make a trip out to the store. They monitor the company's costs, revenue and profit. Finance is a very important part to a business because it controls where and what money goes in the business. Without monitoring a business's finance then the business could over spend and become bankrupt.
8) Human resource make sure all the employees have a safe working environment with all the correct equipment and training supplied by the business. EIAr need to make sure that their employees are safe because they handle weapons which if a mistake was made then they could greatly injure themselves or someone else. Employees must be supplied with the correct equipment and safety precautions so it minimises the risk of something happening.
9) ICT and System operations are in-charge of making sure all the tills and IT systems are working. For EIAr their ICT and System operations need to make sure all their tills, CCTV cameras and computers are working so that the business can stay operating without needing to temporarily close due to a system not
Colour The storage unit uses a variety of colours, this makes the design more appealing to people and stand out more. The design uses pastel colours which are soft and milky colours (teal, flesh and ochre). This makes the storage unit more warm and looks more appealing because the colours are very pleasing to look at. These colours are great for rooms with kids because they are bright and warm, it adds more energy and happiness to the design.
How media uses sport to promote itself- This can be done through having dedicated channels for sport, Sky sports, BT sport and Euro sport. These are all examples of how they can be promoted to users who pay for the channels as they are interested. Over the last 20 years the promotion of sport has developed, instead of having sport on channels like BBC and ITV, they know that sport created lots of income. Which has meant they created the channels devoted to sport to the people interested, as its user friendly. Sky has changed the names of their channels from Sky sports 1-5 to things like Sky sports premier league and sky sports F1.

Also, all staff must to follow policies and procedure when hand handing equipment and they should to work in way that puts other around them in danger.
