The murder of Caylee Anthony caught the world’s attention as soon as the story hit the news. Today, six years later, the mystery still bewilders the world. Looking behind the most controversial questions and digging deeper into them reveals just how blind the world was to what actually happened to two year old Caylee. The story behind what happened says Caylee’s mom was an avid partier and considered her daughter to be a nuisance and distraction from her desired lifestyle. That led her to murdering her two year old so she could live the life she wanted to live, free from the responsibility of a child. In the end Casey was acquitted on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child-abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, however, …show more content…

Casey had no other excuses and more evidence began to pile up against her. George Anthony took the stand and told the jury of a time not long before Caylee’s disappearance when Casey and her boyfriend broke into the shed out back at his home stole gas cans. One of the gas cans stolen had a special kind of duct tape on it which was not found in very many places. To seal the deal, that special duct tape had been removed when Casey returned the cans and was later found on Caylee covering her mouth
With all the lies Casey Anthony gave investigators and police, it is clear as day that she did it, she lied to cover up all the conflicts that she did to Caylee. It's a clear as day conspiracy theory because of the lies and how she got away with being a murderer. Casey Anthony’s lies were used as distractions. She did the crime of it. There were talks of Caylee drowning in their pool.
The body of Caylee was found right outside of the family’s property where it would have been easy to dispose of the body. In the autopsy report, traces of chloroform were found on Caylee’s remains while traces of chloroform were also found in the trunk of Casey’s car. Casey’s mother reported that the trunk of her car smelled like a dead body had been in there for a while. In the trial, the defense could not give any explanation as to why any of this is true. Without any evidence to prove these accusations weren’t true is reason enough to believe that she is guilty.
On Dec. 8, 2011 Caylee’s remains were found beside a road near Casey Anthony’s house(wftv.com). On the skull there was still tissue which confirmed that it was Caylee. Duct tape with Caylee’s hair on it was also found, possibly on the skull(wftv.com). There was no fingerprints on the duct tape because it had been sitting outside exposed to the elements for so long that any oils from the fingerprint would have been long washed away. The duct tape was also said to have a heart sticker belonging to Caylee on it, which would have disproved the defense's claim that the duct tape was staged but the sticker was not found.

When asking her daughter, Casey, where Caylee was she made many different excuses before finally admitting that she had not seen Caylee in weeks. Police suspected that Casey was responsible for the death of Caylee and after an investigation, Casey was charged
The prosecution argued that Casey had killed her daughter by suffocating her with duct tape and then disposing of her body in a wooded area near her home. The defense argued that Caylee had accidentally drowned in the family's swimming pool and that Casey had panicked and disposed of the body. The jury ultimately found Casey not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and aggravated child abuse. She was found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to law enforcement. The case has been highly debated since the verdict was announced.
If Caylee was with the “nanny,” why did Casey not check up on the nanny every couple of hours wondering how her daughter is doing? Is Casey Anthony still really innocent with all this evidence thrown at
Per Reporter: Savannah's mother (Alicia) was arrested on 11-14-17 for disturbing the peace. Savannah was in the home; when Alicia was arrested. Alicia and Savannah have been in the home for a week. Savannah's grandmother (Anita) went to Louisiana and picked up Savannah and Alicia from a drug-infested home.
Caylee’s grandmother called the police after a month of not seeing her grandchild, noticing she went missing. She also reported her car smelled like there had been a dead body in it. Caylee’s grandmother said her daughter Casey had given various explanations as to where her daughter was week after week before calling the cops. Casey had also lied to the detectives that her daughter had been kidnapped by a babysitter on June 9th and tried to warn the police but was too scared. Finally Casey was charged with first-degree murder and pleaded not
Introduction. On the date of July 10, 2015, Sandra Bland was arrested and accused of assaulting a police officer after she was stopped for a traffic violation of failing to signal a lane change. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Sandra Bland became “argumentative and uncooperative. It was not until the video of the arrest was released that we saw exactly what happened during the incident. Cannon Lambert, who played the role as the attorney for Bland’s family, reported to CNN that Sandra Bland was asked to put out her cigarette and when she refused she was asked to step out of the car.
After months of testifying the trial comes to the end on July 11th, when jury deliberates for over 10 hours before coming back with the verdict of not guilty of first degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child. Casey was found guilty of four counts of providing false information to law enforcement. I personally believe Casey should have been found guilty of first degree murder of her daughter. If Caylee did accidentally drown, why would they place duct tape over her mouth and dump her body in the woods, why did they call the police and report a accidental drowning?
New Jersey state legislation has passed “Caylee’s Law” in response to the Casey Anthony case. Casey Anthony was acquitted of the murder charges she faced in the death of her daughter. She failed to report her daughter missing until 31 days after her disappearance (Catrocho, 2015). Caylee’s Law states, “a parent, guardian, or other person with legal custody of a child who knowingly fails to report the disappearance of the child to the appropriate law enforcement agency not more than 24 hours after becoming aware of the disappearance shall be guilty of a crime of the fourth degree, where a “child” is a person 13 years of age or younger” (Caylee’s Law of 2011). “Fourth degree crimes are punishable by imprisonment of up to 18 months, a fine of
When police investigators searched through her records and computer history, they found something odd, her history consisted of searches like “How to make chloroform” and “Neck breaking” so why would she look this stuff up for no intentions? What’s worse is that, large amounts of chloroform appeared to be found in Casey’s car, the evidence is all there, yet she was found not guilty! This is absurd. When George, (Caylee’s father) received a notice that his car was being towed, he noticed
This just screams suspicion, but alas, there was no hard evidence that tied Casey into the placement of the body, so this was a moot point. Other points where brought up which could have very likely led to the death of Caylee. It was said by Jose Baez, Casey’s attorney, that Caylee had drowned in the family pool and George, Casey’s father, had been the one to dispose of the
On May 25, 2010 Casey Anthony 's lawyer states to the court and jury that Caylee was unintentionally drowned in the swimming pool of their home , and that Casey and her father had cover it up. The prosecution presented that Casey Anthony did research on chloroform at her home computer but her mother Cindy Anthony 's asserted that it was her that made the searches that implicated her daughter but the records showed that Cindy Anthony was at work when these searches were done. On July 5, the jury found Casey not guilty of first degree murder but she was found guilty on four misdemeanors because she provided false material to a law enforcement officers.
