In the letter dated March 31, 1776, Abigail Adams asks her husband, John Adams to "Remember the ladies”, and don’t forget the women of the nation. She asks her husband to remember the women when he comes to write the laws; and be more generous than their ancestors were. Abigail let him know that she hoped that he could achieve independence and she wants that the government allow women to have more rights, voice and representation in government. She demanded more protection against the abuse of men. She asks that don’t give unlimited power to men because they tend to be tyrants; and that if their request is not heard they will rebel in order to get it.

The Revolutionary war was revolutionary, especially for the colonies. This statement was supported by how much land was available to them, and even the prices of each everyday item differed. If the colonists didn’t win the revolution, or if the revolution didn’t take place, things would have turned out differently. Along with that, they were now independent, and not following their home country, England. Other lower class colonists felt more equal to rich and upper class colonists, as shown in Document 3, where the lower class colonists were shown enjoying a game with more upper class men, and most likely richer people.

The Revolutionary War caused lots of violence on both sides; the colonies and the British. Both sides lost many lives, and both sides won and lost many battles. The British army had trained soldiers that were more numerous and experienced than the American Minutemen. Americans believed that they were defined by their beliefs, in fighting for their rights, instead of their heritage. The unity of the American people was a defined by everybody together in a democracy, instead of the British monarchy that people were suppressed by, and left to join America for.

The Revolutionary war had begun after three British ships were delivering tea and were ambushed by American colonists disguised as Native Americans. The disguised enraged colonists dumped all the tea into the Boston Harbor. This act occurred when colonists were furious the British had raised taxes to outrageous prices for things such as tea and postage stamps. The British had increased tax prices for colonists when the French and Indian war had put them in debt. The French and Indian war had commenced when the French and the British fought over land from the Mississippi river to the Appalachian mountains.

The American Revolution was a political upheaval in the 1700’s during which many colonists of the Thirteen American Colonies had overthrew Great Britain authority, rejected the British monarchy and aristocracy, and founded the United States of America. Similarly, the French Revolution was also a political upheaval in the 1700’s during which the Revolution overthrew the monarchy, established their own republic, went through violent events of political turmoil, and finished with a dictatorship led by Napoleon Bonaparte which quickly brought many of its principles to Western Europe. Both the American and the French Revolution were products of Enlightenment ideals, which had emphasized the ideas of natural rights and equality. The results of the American Revolution and the French Revolution are very comparable as both Revolutions experienced great changing events at this time.

From the knowledge that I have obtained The American Revolution was indeed very revolutionary, from my understanding it made its history between the years of 1765 and 1783. It was what modernized the United States into becoming a much more rather better nation, not only did it modernize the nation but it inspired many people to educate and make better their societies. The American Patriots in the Thirteen Colonies won their independence from Great Britain, becoming the United States of America. This war was between the Kingdom of Great Britain and thirteen British colonies on the North American continent.

The American Revolution is inarguably a founding event that led to the birth of the United States of America. It is a widely held belief among Americans that that the revolution is solely rooted from the colonists’ desire for independence from the tyrannical government of the British Empire and to create a nation based on the principles of freedom and equality. The American Revolution is commonly viewed as the courageous resistance of the colonies against the regime that oppressed them. Though the American Revolution was eventually united in the cause of liberation from the British regime, historical researchers believed that the cause of the revolution is more complex and deep-seated than this simplified version of the revolutionary struggle.
