The Civil War was one of the bloodiest wars of all; it lasted from 1861 to 1865, and the death total accumulated to be over 620,000. This war is what some say changed history. There were many reason for the war between the Americans: “Economic and social differences between the North and the South, states versus federal rights, the fight between Slave and Non-Slave State Proponents, growth of the Abolition Movement, and the election of Abraham Lincoln.” (about.com. n.d)
