Changes And Continuities Between 600 To 1450 C. E.

In 520 AD, the prophet and messenger Muhammad came to spread Allah's word, and his followers became the first Muslims. Islam spread rapidly and this was was due to the choices that the leaders made through cultural diffusion, strategy for the wage of war, and esteemed morals. When Muslim merchants would trade, they would also spread the culture of Islam. The strategic wage of war helped Islam uphold a strong empire. The desirable morals of the faith led people into becoming Muslim.

After Muslim conquests, the growth of cities flourished under Islam rule. Muslim rulers gained control of the pre-existing cities and founded new ones from Asia to Europe. Cities and urban areas in Muslim society were important because of the role it plays in religion, trade, and culture. Trade was a very significant part of Muslim society. The trade network is expansive and the routes extend across Europe, North Africa and Asia (Document 6).

Between 600 CE to 1750 CE, the process by which trade was conducted on the Indian Ocean changed dramatically. With the new maritime knowledge in the Indian Ocean, larger ships were able to connect Africa to the rest of the Indian Ocean network, leading to merchant Diaspora which continued throughout the era. From 1000 CE to 1400 CE, African city-states began to grow and led to an intensified trading network throughout the Indian Ocean. With this increase in cross-cultural interaction, new technology, ideas and diseases were exchanged.

Between the years 1000 and 1450, trade networks, were rapidly being established throughout Africa, Asia, and Europe and becoming increasingly successful. The main idea of adjusting to culture by the Europeans differed heavily from the Muslims idea of spreading and influencing culture, which resulted in the Europeans suffering some cultural consequences. The documents imply that the Muslims culture was able to spread further while having a greater impression on travelers than the Europeans culture, which was focused on the exploration of other cultures and religious conversion. The Muslim culture was able to spread its culture, while trying to succeed in new surroundings, which allowed it to be spread further than the Europeans culture was

During the time of Muhammad, he worked hard to spread the message of Allah throughout the Arabian Peninsula, and by the time he died he had succeeded. By 632 C.E Islam had spread throughout most of the peninsula, including big cities like Mecca and Medina. By 661 C.E the religion had now spread to the north-eastern parts

By the year 1000 through the year 1300, the climate changed to a much warmer than usual weather. During this age, the productivity of food and other materials were at their highest. However the years after 1300 saw a cold unlike any before, it was called the little ice age. The little ice age lasted from 1300 to 1450, but in between that time frame, the crops and livestock were dying at an unbelievable rate, it left Europe in complete disarray. The prices of food increased to astronomical prices, with fewer food intake, it left people weakened and more susceptible to disease.

Muhammad, the final messenger of God, and his followers spread the message of Allah to the Arabs in the Arabian Peninsula in 610 CE. Surprisingly, Muhammad was pretty popular and his word, Islam, spread rather quickly because of Trade routes in the peninsula, the Muslims military conquest, and treaties and toleration. Out of all of those three main reasons why Islam spread fast, Treaties and Taxation was the most important. The treaties and toleration that the Muslims assembled were the main reason why people either stayed in the Islam religion and others transferred and started practicing Islam.

From 700-1350 AD, Muslims were great conquerors who desired more knowledge and the advancement of their society, so they were able to make contributions

The Islam religion, believed by Muslims, has spread across the globe at rapid speeds. Muhammad ibn Abdullah started the religion. The religion began in Mecca. The religion was made known in 610 CE. The two major themes of the religion are “Allah is the one God” and the importance of charity.

In Africa during the Post-Classical era, 600-1450 CE, the Saharan was no longer a barren wasteland hardly suitable for travel, but, an essential part of both North African and Sub-Saharan West African societies. Camels and caravans allowed for quicker and more effective traveling. With trading becoming increasingly popular in this area, it provided the resources to build new and larger political structures. During this era, Africa’s economy began to change and the western part of Sub-Saharan was no different. With the Trans-Saharan trade routes ability to increase with the help of wealthier Islamic states, it allowed for the spread of religious and political ideas such as larger empires and the Islamic faith in which both greatly influenced

Long ago, during the 7th century, there was a man named Mohammed (PBUH) who lived in a city called Mecca. One day, while he was meditating in the cave of Hira, a voice came to him and said “Proclaim!” He then starts to preach and spread the teachings of a religion known today as, Islam. As he began to teach, he started to gain followers and supporters. Eventually, after many conflicts and Mohammed’s (PBUH) death, the religion was able to spread much bigger rather than the Arabian Peninsula.

The early Islamic empire has expanded throughout the years and over time. Throughout the Documents I found out that the Islamic empire expanded by coming together and reunited. In Document A I found that the Muslims gathered gather together, the Greeks and their followers tied themselves together therefore none of them could run away. In Document C it says that they were granting of gifts which remained the practice of Muhammad which eventually institutionalized. I think that meant that Muhammad remained going toward established as part of the government.

I will be explaining what changes occurred during the Medieval times in Europe. The first castle was called motte and bailey and was introduced to England by The Normans from France, when they invaded the country in 1066 it is believed that as many as 1000 Motte and Bailey Castles were built in England by the Normans. In the Motte and Bailey the most important thing was the keep, it was built on a huge mound. Mottes ranges from 25 feet to over 80 feet in height.

Why did Islam spread so fast? In 610 CE A man named Muhammad was outside of a cave meditating and soon began hearing voices. As he listened he heard them say “Give birth to a religion called Islam.” Islam began to spread faster than any other religion.
