After reading chapter seven-teen (17) about research and arguments for academic writing.
I have to agree, that doing good and useful research for a paper that is going to be read not only by your professor in college, but also possibly by an audience that could include, professionals from your chosen field, is crucial. Therefore, the better the research that you collect, will result in the ability for you to write a better and more informed article or paper on your topic. What, I found interesting in this chapter was the example on “Nature Deficit Diorder” at the end of the chapter. I liked how the author presented his case for a better use of the playground area, at our schools today. One thing, I still have some questions about and hopefully
When someone who commits a crime is determined to be mentally inadequate to be held accountable for the crimes they have committed, there are things that we do to charge them, but in a lesser way because of their mental capacity. Which begs the question, why are we allowing children to be sentenced to life, when their brains aren’t fully developed? When a child commits a crime we look over that, and stop seeing them as children. We shouldn’t sentence children to a life in prison when their brains are not only underdeveloped, but also missing a good portion of gray matter.

United nations call for change as 57 million children have no education. Teen activists go out of social norms and their comfort zones to help people. They fight to make the world a better place by protests, strikes, and boy cots. Some things teen activists encounter can make a serious difference on their life.
Is there someone in your life who wants to make a change? Teen activism is about people who believe and stand up for what is right. Teen activists try to change the world with their words. They are believers and they are amazing and brave. Many teen activists like Malala Yousafzai, Alex Libby, Iqbal Masih are all great activists and they each fight for something different.
They believe under the wrong impression that writings which incorporate topics like “Plato, Shakespeare, the French Revolution, and nuclear fission” are the only sources of scholarly work. Graff emphasizes the nonexistent linkage between the subject of the paper and the educational value that society has mistakenly thought to exist. Instead, that truly defines the educational weight is the writer’s own stake into the writing of any topic. Graff asserts that the individual’s own interest and devotion to analyzing and offering his or her own viewpoint is what produces scholarly work and having intellectual discussions. In his experience in the sports world, his dedication to staying aware of the “arguments, debates, problems for analysis, and intricate statistics” has allowed for more intellectual discussions than what can be had at

Teen Mom like most reality TV shows, have been accused of manipulative editing; which is editing scenes to fit specific story lines. Leah Messer, star of Teen Mom 2 had tweeted about how fake the show was when a personal encounter between her and her ex-husband was edited to gain more viewership (1). It causes us to think as viewers, should we trust these shows? In my opinion, this show had a lot of potential to be appreciated at its time, it was “real world”, relatable, and something that could happen to anyone. Unlike other reality TV shows including; Jersey Shore, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and The Hills.
American teens My life compared to the Americans in the documentary is totally reversed compared to theirs. For starters, my parents hopefully don 't expect anything from me at all, only that I get through high school and get a job. They wouldn’t say that I wasn’t special just because my grades were above average but not #topoftheclass grades, they would instead encourage me to try harder in a good way I think. Then the Americans always have a pressure built up on them, for if they don’t get through high school and don 't get into college they would be nobodies and society would think of them as losers and failures.
I have done a lot of research in my undergrad, but I never knew what fully went into the publication part of research. It is important to know the different types of articles such as empirical studies, literature reviews, theoretical articles, methodological articles, and case studies (American Psychological Association, 2017). It is important to know and understand the differences between each type of article, because they focus on different aspects. I also found it interesting all the fine details you must consider when publishing research, such as conflict of interest.
Teen activists work hard and long for what they believe is right. But most of the time they can’t do it alone. Teen activists get help in a lot of different ways. Getting help by a parent is one way. Another way to get help is from other kids.
Chapter 1 Teen Activists All teen activists such as Alex Lin Malala and Iqbal work to help make a world a better place. That might take months or even years. We know that's a long time! Teen Activists also face challenges like, they cannot spread the word to others, they have many people stand in there way,and the reason activists do these things even though it puts there life at risk is because they want to help in ways they can. According to (Youth Activists Project), “nearly half of the world population is underage 18.
Teen Education For you to get a good job so that you can live better than us, you have to be the best in school. It is not very wise to spend all of your holidays playing computer games. You have to study. Look at how good your cousin is doing.

Lower VS Middle school Schools out, now it’s time to go to middle school! Last year, I was fifth grade, and was the worst because we were not allowed to do anything. In middle school,We are allowed to do a whole lot of thing like talk in the halls. Due to the increase of freedom, middle school is better than lower school.
Growing up as a middle child is not easy. If it was an option I think that no one should have to be the middle child, but it is something that I have learned to deal with throughout my 13 years of experience. Ever since I was a little kid I was never the favorite. The favorite child is always either the oldest because they are the parents first child or the youngest because they are the cutest, but this is often not the case for the middle child. I think this is unfair because the middle child could be both smart and cute, even though they are always looked past.
