Teaching today has become a very interesting job for soon-to-be or current teachers due to the high culture diversity in their classrooms. Teacher not only have to be well prepared to present quality education but also to be able to accommodate for all the students needs regardless of origin, color or race. The important point is not teaching different children but due to their different backgrounds they learn differently; thus, the teachers now need to become aware of the students’ cultures in their classroom as soon as possible.
These different learning styles should make the teacher knowledgeable that he/she might have to embark on a journey to explore the students’ cultures and embrace them because at the end of the day he/she has the responsibility to teach all students in the most effective way. Some students might perform best when they listen and participating in class discussions, and other might be visual persons while others prefer to take down notes. This is why it is imperative for the teachers to engage in knowing the students at the beginning of the school year and as quickly as possible for them to implement the right teaching strategies.
Another important factor for the teachers to take into consideration is the parental support and home environment in the student success. Nowadays, teachers try to build a friendly relationship with the students’ parents because they know that sometimes when the student is not performing well is because there are problems at home. A classroom should be filled with a wide variety of languages, experiences, and cultural diversity. An effective teacher understands the importance of culturally responsive teaching, and recognizes the significance of including students ' cultural references in all aspects of learning. Having an enriching classroom that engages all students does not mean making judgments about a student’s culture based on their skin color, gender, or socioeconomic status, rather it means knowing each student in a way that is individualized. According to the authors of The First Day of School: How to be an Effective Teacher Harry Wong, race, gender, religion, financial statue, and skin color is the least important factor determining a student’s achievement. Moreover, demographics and culture are not an excuse for students’ lack of achievement.

Parents bonding with their kids is important because if a kid feels left out, then their parents should be able to talk to them and help them if they need help with anything. Classroom observation Parents of prospective students are given observation of the appropriate class through the office, after they have got the details they need in person. It is good if parents observe the class before admission. It is important that parents come and observe their child’s classroom at least once a year.
C. Analysis In this chapter, I will make critical analysis on the results of the classroom observation with my opinion. 1. Teacher’s Classroom Management a. • Teachers: To me teachers are the main factor that influences and impacts student learning. Creating a professional relationship between teachers and learners, will maintain boundaries, which will mean the teacher will be respected, and seen as a gentle person, who cares about her students, but still has a certain amount of authority to her or him. There should be a continues recruitment for teachers who are effective, capable of handling pressure and managing difficult classes, as well as dealing with students who does not have the same life values, or behaviour patterns, as well as the necessary skills to make the students strive to achieve of what they are capable of academically, socially as well as culturally. The teacher should have an excellent understanding of what the set curriculum entails, as well as what is expected of them, as a teacher.
INTRODUCTION For the purpose of this assignment I have selected the film Freedom Writers (2007). As a teacher in a post-primary DEIS school, this film was of particular interest to me for its high-school setting and the disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds of the students.
