Kids are 13-14 posting naked pictures on social media where its public to everybody. Seeing naked pictures of girls 13 years of age or younger on Facebook, twitter, instagram or other social media is sad. These little girls are babies, sending pictures to 17-21-year-old men or lying about their age. As parents, you wouldn’t be too happy if you checked your kid’s social media pages. Parents can do something about it and make a change, get your children under control and make sure they are not doing sneaky things behind your back. Kids 12-15 are getting bullied because they post a picture on Facebook and it doesn’t look so nice or you aren’t wearing designer clothes in a picture. These kids shouldn’t be getting bullied, it’s not their fault …show more content…
Kids get bullied for some of the stupidest things on social media. A pair of shoes can be as cute as a butterfly, but since they’re fila’s you get talked about. People think it’s cool to talk about people because they get laughs out of people. It’s not cool to bully people on social media because if they kill they self you can go to prison for cyber bullying. You committed a murder if you made them kill they self because you was picking. People could be so innocent and bully nobody and still get bullied. That is so sad and I honestly think 's that is not cool, innocent people crying because they’ve been bullied and they don’t even do as much as look somebody …show more content…
The other side would say this is just life there will always be people bullying. They would say this is how life is so just get over it. Another might just say “you’re going to get bullied all of your life, this is life get over it” but that doesn’t make it okay. Yeah, people are going to talk about you all of your life, but that doesn’t make it okay and there is a way to stop it. If they talk about it on something big like Tv or the radio maybe people will get it and understand that what they are doing is bad. Maybe if the kids were able to hear how bad this makes people feel and how it’s not cool they would tone
Now, in 2015, with new technology people can make fun of people and bully them online without having to look at them. They do this because they know that they have to right to speak
That is why we should, “Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself” (Harvey Fierstein). Sometimes, turning our cheek the other way is not always the correct answer because we never know what someone else is going through in their personal life. Standing up for someone who is bullied can be hard
In the text “Why Kids Sext” by Hannah Rosin goes into detail why kids sext, what these kids are doing is wrong because it invades privacy, on how social media has a big part, harm that is being done by this, and the proper way to deal with this without making laws to lock kids up for making mistakes. This text was based on a school that had a huge problem with sexting. Photos of girls in this school were being posted on a porn site and on social media. When the parents found out there daughters were on this site they were very disappointed and wanted this shut down as soon as possible. These were smart straight A students that made a simple mistake.
What is a teen activist? A teen activist is someone who inspires people to do good in the world. They take a little cause and make it known worldwide. I believe that if we have teen activists in the world, people will want to do good things to help them. If that is true teen activists could make our world a better place.
“Why do you wear that shirt? Those shorts are slutty. You should really kill yourself,” Rude, mean, bullying. Rude, bullying, bullying. Bullying, bullying, bullying.
Cyberbullying and the First Amendment Matthew Trotti Grand Canyon University: POS 500 2/23/16 Cyberbullying and the First Amendment In todays world and the 21st century technology is everywhere and access to that technology is at everyone’s fingertips. Due to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter things like cyberbullying have become a new way of bullying. The definition of cyberbullying is “bullying that takes place using electronic technology” (What is Cyberbullying). This paper will talk about the topic of cyberbullying and the steps that I am required to take if I hear from a student that they are being bullied on Facebook.
Around the world there are many kind of problems that afflict kids of all age but there is one in particular that is relevant, this problem is the bullying. Also many kids commit suicide because of this problem, this isn't an actual problem, the bullying exist many years ago almost all generations of humans witness the bullying in the childhood.
Most of all young kids will stop taking their own lives because of it. When kids get bullied and the bullies make bad choices. “Children who bullied and their victims were more likely to engage in violent behaviors.” (Brodyjan,1). This is one reason why bullying needs to stop.
Online, everything you post is permanent and all things can be traced back to you. If parents monitor their children’s online use they can be assured that they don’t post something that can ruin their future. Furthermore, I agree with Coben because there are so numerous stories of scandals people have gotten into because of what they posted. For example, David McMillan talks about two teens ruined their lives in his “How To Ruin Your Life In 14 Minutes”. He explains how two teens messed up their lives by posting a video “in which they spewed a truckload of racist comments.”
Satire is the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. A literary work in which human foolishness or vice is attacked through irony, derision, or wit. Mockery is teasing and contemptuous language or behavior directed at a particular person or thing. Also the behavior or speech that makes fun of someone or something in a hurtful way. “The Rape of the Lock” by Alexander Pope and “My Satirical Self” by Wyatt Mason from The New York times are both about satire and mockery.
Using Satire to Convict Social Media Social media has inspired a stronger set of issues in the lives of the current youth, according to Shannon Purtle in “Why Social Media Should Be Left Alone”, specifically issues dealing with authenticity. In a time when social media is on the rise, Purtle addresses the lacking of real connections and endangerments surrounding magnified typical teenage issues caused by those programs within the lives of young Americans. As a teenager, or young adult, there is an immense amount of exposure to assimilation from one self-conscious teen to the next unsure teen. Through using satirical strategies such as an ironic tone, ridiculous and contradicting rhetoric, ironic questions and analogies to common phrases, Purtle
Bullies are usually stronger and victims are usually perceived as weaker and unable to protect themselves.” (Masterson,1997) Bullying expands in many aspects of everyday life; from schoolchildren and teenagers, to adults , working environments and even spouses and family members. Considering that the first signs of bullying appear among schoolchildren, we should examine it in its infancy, that is, bullying in early years and school life, which in turn becomes with the passage of years violence and in some cases even crime. As far as bullying at school is concerned, “one definition is that a student is being bullied or victimized, when he or she is exposed, repeatedly and over time , to negative actions on the part of one or more other students.”
I say that it’s human nature, and you can’t fix that. As such, the current attempt at stopping bullying is not, and will not, work. What we need to do, is cut down our efforts. We have a lot of efforts, but that doesn’t mean that they’re good.
Social media are mostly used by adults and adolecents. However, there are a lot of children that already use social media. Based on the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, children under 13 years are not allowed to use social media for it can give bad impact for the children who actively use it. The first bad impact is the children can easily access to bad and inappropriate contents.
Not many victims does this for fear of retaliation; nonetheless some victims are brave enough to fight back. The effects of bullying will affect the victim’s future as they grow up to become adults. If this issue continues, he/she has a right to report the incident or fight back their bullies. All forms of bullying, including cyber-bullying, are considered intolerable and criminal at school. Bullying occurs when the bully fights or insults the victims to the point of fighting back or seeking help from someone trustworthy to prevent their issue of being bullied.
