As many of you are aware, there has been a recent outbreak of several illnesses in our local schools and some have reached our daycare kids. In an effort to head off any more spreading of these germs the daycare room has been sanitized from top to bottom, including all toys.
We wanted to take this opportunities to also revisit some of our daycare rules so that everyone is on the same page and there are no further miscommunications.
-Daycare Time Limit: There is a maximum of 2 hour limit per day that a child can be in the care of the gyms daycare. We feel this is an amount of time that a child can handle and that you can get a great workout completed.
-Check in/check out: We have a sign in log in the daycare that each parent needs to sign

When changing diapers, we are unable to keep our eyes on the other children in the room, our back is to them and our attention is on changing the diaper. Please understand that we will come and get you if your child has a dirty diaper and we would appreciate your timely response to taking care of the situation.
-Daycare Capacity: We have a lot of new members and have found that our small room can only hold about 15 children at a time. As a parent you can understand that 15 toddlers running around is different then 15 older elementary aged kids who are stationary playing, which is why were leaving it at ‘about’ 15. Please help us minimize safety concerns by being aware that you might be asked to wait until a child leaves before you drop off your little one. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
Hitting/Fighting/Rough Play: We fully understand that kids will be kids and some of these actions can be rationalized as such, but a continually issue of malicious or unsafe acts will result in the parent being asked to removed the child from the daycare at that time and it will be at managements discretion as to when the child can return to the daycare. We have to keep the safety and happiness of all of the children in the daycare in
7 / D.P7: Explain how different procedures maintain health and safety in a selected health or social care setting Maintaining health and safety in health and social care is extremely important to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all their service users as well as other individuals service providers may come in contact with in the setting. There are several procedures that help to maintain this health and safety however they can all vary between settings for example, health and safety procedures will be slightly different and more focused on certain areas in hospitals and especially in paediatric ward compared to in drop-in centres where the needs and risk to service users are slightly different. Some of the procedures used in health and social care to maintain health and safety include; infection control and prevention, safe moving and handling of equipment and individuals, food preparation and storage, storage and administration of medication and storage and disposal of hazardous substances.
PERSUASIVE SPEECH OUTLINE Topic: Foster Care/Adoption Specific Purpose: To Improve foster care around the world Thesis Statement: Consequently, we need to do something to make adoption easier and better not only in the United States, but all over the world. I. INTRODUCTION A. Attention material/Credibility Material: In my last speech, I told you about some of the problems with the foster care system and how I was an eight-month-old baby that was placed in the foster care system. I don’t know much about my biological parents and I don’t know if I really want to know.
In this practicum I will narrate an interview that was done with a Hispanic parent. I will describe her and her family structure. I will also elaborate on her involvements in her children academics, and teacher parent relationship. Also better ways to encourage parents to get involved in their children education will be added, and how teachers can assist with making the parents feel welcomed inside of the classroom.
Disposal and handling of hazardous materials such as nappies and body fluids is an important part in the policy. The reason why it is important because it is the changing of children’s nappies and it has to be clean. It is safe for both the children and the staff’s changing the nappy because you won’t get yourself dirty as well as the child. When changing a nappy it is necessary that the staff member wear protective wearing such as gloves and apron, to keep any bacteria you may have away from the child and whatever bacteria the child may have is cleaned up without you catching it.
It is important for the children to feel comfortable and safe. If the activity that they are doing reminds them of something that has happened to them then immediate care and support must be provided to the child. If the children are playing nicely with one another and then a child begins to hit or kick another child then that child that is hurting the other must be removed from the situation as they are causing a barrier towards play based learning. With play based learning it is important that it not cause any harm towards the children and must be health and safety checked beforehand. Therefore, we have a risk assessment to check before the childcare sector opens for the children and parents to enter as well as tidying up constantly.
People shouldn’t have to spend $200 or more per week for child care. Taxes should be spent to keep daycares up and running during the day. some families can’t afford extra things like having to pay someone to watch their child but, they work so would need someone to watch the children until they get home. Daycare’s should be funded by the government, It’s important that kids go to daycare because they are getting the materials they need to go off to real school in daycare.
The career I chose to research is a Child Care Center Administrator. A Child Care Center Administrator is known to be in charge of toddler-aged programs or daycares who share the academic or non-academic requirements. He/she has to be able to love children and be able to work with them while also being able to take care of the business side of the Child Care Program. Some duties that the administrator may hold is monitoring a child’s progress of intellectual and emotional development and assist anyone who has a concern with the program or building.

By the end of my speech, 212 underprivileged children around the world would be clenching their stomach and wobbling from garbage dumps to garbage dumps, searching for half- eaten food. 5 children in India would leave school to work in a dilapidated undergarment factory for 14 straight hours, enduring whipping, and pain just for 3 bowls of rice. 3 children in Africa would be dead after being beheaded by heartless invaders. The power to change this situation lies with every one of you present today. Basic necessity such as food, basic education, security are few of many things that underprivileged children lack.
