The unnamed narrator of the story discovers from a newspaper that his younger brother, Sonny, has been arrested for selling and using heroin. As he prepares to teach his algebra class, the narrator remembers Sonny as a young boy. His students, he realizes, could someday end up like Sonny, given the obstacles and hardships they face growing up in Harlem. At the end of the school day, the narrator heads home, but he notices that one of Sonny’s old friends, who is always high and dirty, is waiting for him by the school. The two men walk together, talking about Sonny.

At the end of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, the children whose actions were chronicled in the book committed atrocities like murder and torture. Regular children somehow did things worse than anything that they ever could have imagined back at home. This begs the question of what prompted what once were normal children to snap: the circumstances or something that was inside of them all along. The answer in my mind isn’t as simple as one or the other. A winning combination of both spurred average boys into becoming killers, because without something dark being triggered in some of the boys, no one would have even thought about the horrible things that ended up happening.

My novel choice is “The brave New world” by Aldous Huxley, I chose this novel because my teacher recommended me to try it. The title of the book “ brave new world” kind of catches my attention, first of all because the title have a very specific meaning I guess related to the story. I did actually notice some hint about the story, the cover page look very creepy and and have identical babies in tubes. From that, I’m hoping that is it what I’m thinking of which is: a bloody, human trafficking novel.

Sense after reading "life of Pi" Pi is a teenager born in India and at the same time believing in Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. His father runs a zoo, so he knows the habits of animals. Frankly speaking, the beginning of this story is not attractive, mixed with a religious belief in a teenager's growth experience. Then the story officially entered into the "fantasy draft". Pi family take boat to move to Canada with their animals, Pi's father wanted to bring the animals to a foreign country in order to sell a good price.

1. Of Mice and Men begins with a description of a picturesque woodland that surrounds the Salinas River. It is filled with rabbits, birds, and other innocent, almost “lifeless” animals. The water is described as “warm” and “twinkling.” The author's use of word choice and imagery creates a calm, idyllic setting.

After this, Pi describes the killing of the cook/hyena surprisingly easy, this is the shadow self and survival instincts shining through as well. what does this say about pi? Has this changed him? Go into more depth, this seems a little rushed. Concluding

John Steinbeck believes in the book “of mice and men” that, we as humans cannot comprehend when we don’t feel a sense of lost somewhere in the world, because having this loss gives us an emotional feeling that releases anger and rage on yourself and others. In the introduction “Of Mice and Men” this theme is used a lot when they come running out of Weed. A lots of understanding broke on Lennie's face. “ They run us out of weed,” he exploded triumphantly.
