Why Donald Trump is Unfit to be President
The 2016 presidential election results were shocking to many. Donald Trump, the newly elected president, had a surprising victory that has left many fearful for the future. He made many troubling promises during his campaign (building a wall, for example) that could be detrimental to the United States and other countries. Trump also verbally attacked and insulted other candidates and politicians during his campaign. Donald Trump is unfit to be president, because he has no political experience, frequently makes inappropriate comments about others, and often ignores proven facts in order to make his arguments. Unlike most presidents before him, Donald Trump has no political experience. Being the president

I'm totally against abortion, having to do with Planned Parenthood. But millions and millions of women -- cervical cancer, breast cancer -- are helped by Planned Parenthood. So you can say whatever you want, but they have millions of women going through Planned Parenthood that are helped greatly. And I wouldn't fund it. I would defund it because of the abortion factor, which they say is 3 percent. I don't know what percentage it is. They say it's 3%. But I would defund it, because I'm pro-life. But millions of women are helped by Planned Parenthood (Donald Trump on Abortion, …show more content…
After all: “Trump has dabbled in everything from real estate to steak, casinos and beauty queens, and he serves as an executive for more than 500 companies” (Swanson). It is logical that some would support him because of his success in business. However, he has also had many failed business ventures. After a debate, it was reported: “At the time, we found four bankruptcies, but since then, we’ve found two more for a total of six. So Clinton was right that Trump bankrupted companies four times, and she could have offered a higher count as well” (Qui). Since 1991, Donald Trump has declared bankruptcy six times, which does not seem like the mark of a good business. So although some may argue that Trump will make a good president because of his business skills, looking at the facts shows something quite different. Donald Trump is inexperienced on the political and military side and has a spotty record on the business
The 2016 Presidential Election was one of the craziest events in United States history. Obviously, Donald Trump won and it affected millions of people, whether it was in a good way or a bad way. In the article, “Donald Trump’s Inaugural Address Was Great”, by James Poulos, Trump was considered to be “great and logical” (Poulos). However, in the article, “Don’t Believe the Populism of Trump’s Inaugural Address. Our President is a Plutocrat”, by Ryan Cooper, Trumps is considered to be a terrible person, and he does not to deserve to be president.
Trump shouldn’t be president because he has a degree in finance rather than Law. I believe that to be president you should have to have multiple degrees like obama who has four law degrees. The president of the united states should be highly educated and if you 're not I don 't believe you qualified to be president Donald Trump also shouldn’t be president because of what he said about banning muslims. His exact words were “total and complete
Donald Trump is not a fit candidate for presidential office because of his strict immigration policy, male chauvinistic views, and risky decisions-making skills.
For years republicans have been trying to defund Planned Parenthood, and at this moment in history, they are closer towards their goal than ever. With a republican majority senate, and a republican as president, the fight to defund Planned Parenthood only faces minimal resistance. Republicans, more specifically the Trump Administration, like to hide behind their religious beliefs and values when it comes to their ideas regarding Planned Parenthood. They tend to only focus aspects that they disagree with while paying no mind to the good that Planned Parenthood does. These republicans that are working to defund Planned Parenthood and oppose Planned Parenthood so strongly tend to only focus on the belief that defunding Planned Parenthood would
According to the article “Reproductive Rights”, “In addition to the highly controversial issue of abortion, reproductive rights encompass the ability to access contraception, sex education, surrogate motherhood, in vitro fertilization, and forced and voluntary sterilization”(1). Defunding Planned Parenthood defunds the opportunity for men and women to have these rights that all Americans are given. According to Special Interest Group Profiles for Students, “At a PPFA health center, clients may receive family-planning services such as counseling, abortions or abortion referral, screening for sexually transmitted diseases, contraception or voluntary sterilization, sex education, and adoption referrals”(2). Without these simple reproductive rights families are forced into situations that could be avoided completely. According to ACLU, “But laws that make it difficult if not impossible for a woman to get an abortion if she needs one, particularly if she is poor, are increasing at an alarming pace”(2).
Many people would argue the fact that tax payers’ money should not fund Planned Parenthood. They think it’s against their religion or morals to have abortions; they believe
Planned Parenthood is a topic that is continuously discussed in correlation with the concept of money as many believe that it “...emphasizes abortions instead of preventative care” (Attira). Because of birthrights, abortions, and the controversy that surrounds such issues, many individuals believe that the government should not be responsible for providing funding. Therefore, actually defunding Planned Parenthood is often brought up as a solution to the highly-debated consensus of government-funded healthcare services. Although many believe that creating a barrier between opinion and action is a positive push, actually defunding the program would be more catastrophic than perceived. Defunding Planned Parenthood would mean blocking and preventing individuals from receiving the health care that they are reliant on.
Throughout the past few years, the organization Planned Parenthood has gone through an overabundance of controversy and fabrications. Planned Parenthood is one of the world’s largest healthcare providers, offering sexual education and reproductive health care to over five million women and men worldwide every year. The majority of the group’s opposition contests it for the notion that they provide unwarranted and immoral abortion procedures. However, only 3% of Planned Parenthood’s services are abortion procedures. The rest of the the organization’s amenities include STI/STD testing, cervical cancer screening, breast exams, Pap tests, and more immensely crucial healthcare facilities for the men and women of America.
The overwhelming number of people that rely on Planned Parenthood for many lifesaving services, such as cancer screenings and STI tests, shows how impactful the organization is for many people who may have died without their services. Opposers of Planned Parenthood argue that these organizations only provide abortions to women. The National Right to Life organization quotes Planned Parenthood's annual abortion numbers, saying
Three percent of Planned Parenthood’s patients in the year 2105 went there for an abortion. Since Donald Trump does not agree with three percent of what this helpful, non-profit organization does, he has promised that when he takes office, it will be defunded by the government, who is Planned Parenthood’s leading donor by a landslide. Does Donald Trump know he would have nearly no supporters if people just dropped him because they did not agree with three percent of every single thing he says or does? Planned Parenthood has been around for 100 years and has helped many women, old and young, with affordable health care. Whether it be for PAP tests, breast exams, contraceptives, or even a young teen going in to learn about preventative health
Donald Trump Should Be Impeached Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States however is not known to be a not a great president. Trump has said many ignorant and racist remarks, and has no regrets for anyone. Donald has not only offended America, but has offended various countries as well. Trump has been considered the worst president in history, therefore he should be impeached. (Thesis) Donald Trump has been called out for his ridiculous statements, overconfidence and prejudice beliefs.
When people think of a president they think of a strong, wise leader when I think of Donald Trump I don’t think any of those things. A president needs to be in control of emotions and be able to calmly lead the country through terrifying situations. Out of all the candidates, including the third party candidates,
One position is that defunding this organization will save taxpayers’ money to use elsewhere. It is said that Planned Parenthood has “…nearly 530 million in annual funds” (US News & World Report). This amount of money could easily go to other social issues, not as controversial. In addition, there are many politicians who have spoken out against it and the Commemorative Coin Act was taken off the table that helped research funds for Susan G. Komen, a supporter of Planned Parenthood. The contradicting position is that women also have health care rights and do not want those to be defunded by the government.
Planned Parenthood is a program that has been helping people pay for essential procedures without a large fee. It should continue to be covered by the government because of the immense help it has offered people for years. As well as the cost is being funded by Title X which is helping other healthcare organizations across the United States. Planned Parenthood, as well as a negative misconception, is that they only help with abortions. Planned Parenthood helps with anything like educating people about their health.
What makes people want a racist, sexist, homophobe with bad hair and companies that have gone bankrupt multiple times to run the country? I know I don 't. The list of things wrong with Trump 's outlook is too long to mention all of but here 's what I think are the most pressing. Sexism.
