Road To Greatness Emily Griffith’s early years of childhood were very tough. Emily was born in Cincinnati, Ohio Feb 10, 1865 and another face came into the world. Emily Griffith grew up living very poor. Sadly, Emily had to leave school in the eighth grade because of this.

Edgar was born in Boston, Massachusetts in the year of 1809. Edgar's mother perished when he was only two years old, by this time, his father had deserted him. Between the ages of 6 and 11, he was granted to go to boarding school in England. After, he turned 18, Poe issued a volume of poems and drafted in the army for 2 years. Poe's predicaments didn't leave during his childhood and continued to haunt him into his adult life.

Emily Bronte was born on July 30, 1818, in Thornton, Yorkshire, England. She was the fifth child of their parents. His father was the Reverend named Patrick Bronte and her mother was called Maria Branwell Bronte. She has five siblings in her family called Maria Bronte, Elizabeth Bronte, Branwell Bronte, Charlotte Bronte, Anne Bronte. Interestingly, Charlotte and Ann is also the famous novelist.

Emily Dickinson spent seven years at the academy taking classes in English and classical literature, Latin, botany, geology history, and arithmetic. His principal recalled her as a very intelligent and excellent academic of consummate deportment who was faithful in all school duties. She spent a few terms off due to illness. The longest off was of one year when she was enrolled for eleven weeks. She enjoyed her strenuous studies writing to friends that the Academy was a better place to study.

Emily Brontë, the fifth child of Ulsterman Reverend Patrick Bronte and Cornish Woman Maria Bronte, was born on the thirtieth of July, 1818. Though she was born at Thornton, Bradford, Yorkshire, she moved with her family to the rural countryside in Haworth where she lived for most of her life. Her mother, however, died of consumption on September 15, 1821. The two eldest sisters, Elizabeth and Maria, assumed the role she left behind, but they too fell fatally ill and died in May and June of 1825, respectively, from tuberculosis as well. The early deaths of her mother and sister drove Emily, her father, and her remaining siblings, Anne, Charlotte, and Branwell, into almost complete isolation, and Emily and Charlotte became closely devoted sisters.

On December 30, 1830, Emily Elizabeth Dickinson, was born in Amherst, Massachusetts (Tredell et. al.). Emily Dickinson’s parents, Edward Dickinson and Emily Norcross, got married in 1828 and one year later they had their first child, a son (“Emily Dickinson Biography”). Emily Dickinson was a middle child with one older brother, Austin, and a younger sister, Lavinia (Tredell et. al.).

Her sister Beth died of the scarlet fever in 1858. Louisa wrote an entry about Beth in her journal saying, “ My dear Beth died at three in the morning after two years of patient pain. Last week she put her work away, saying the needle was too heavy ... Saturday she slept, and at midnight became unconscious, quietly breathing her life away till three; then, with one last look of her beautiful eyes, she was gone.” As an occupation Alcott was a nurse in the Civil War.

Emily Dickinson was a New England poet/hermit with a fascination with death and immortality... When she was younger she had a lot of deaths going on between her friends and family. Emily had three siblings. Dickinson's seclusion during her later years has been the object of much speculation. Scholars have thought that she suffered from conditions such as agoraphobia, depression and/or anxiety, or may have been sequestered due to her responsibilities as guardian of her sick mother.

However, her recognition of becoming a novelist and poet occurred after her death. Emily Bronte was born on July 30, 1818. She was one of six children born to her mother and father. Her mother died when Emily was three years old. Her father was a religious man and Emily and her sisters were raised in a home on the church grounds where her father was a reverend.

Emily Bronte was born in Thornton, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom on July, 30th, 1818. She lived with her four sisters, Charlotte Bronte, Maria Bronte, Elizabeth Bronte, and Anne Bronte, her brother, Branwell Bronte, and her father, Reverend Patrick Bronte. Her four sisters, Charlotte and Anne, were also writers.

She is a poet who wrote numerous poems focusing on grief, loss, and dying. Her work is deep, touching, and highly appreciated. The poems I have chosen by Emily Dickinson that focus on human mortality are, “Because I could not stop for death,” “I heard a fly buzz when I died,” “After great pain a formal feeling comes,” and “I’ve seen a dying Eye.”

She explored and wrote about her feelings. Most of her poems are about pain and tragedy. Emily Dickinson was a very influential poet, because she was one of the first female poets, she aided in women’s movements, and she impacted on American literature. Emily was born and raised in Amherst, Massachusetts on December 10, 1830. She mostly stayed at home and rarely went out to explore the world.

Her works are known for the wise use of language, the variety of themes, and many other aspects. Dickinson’s family background, her seclusion experience and the literary movement she was in enrich readers’ understanding of the poem “I taste a liquor never brewed”.
