Family members and teachers have stressed the importance of furthering your education after high school for almost your whole educational career. A university experience is extremely beneficial in this world, broadening one's horizons to endless possibilities.

In addition college can help you get through life and give you the strength to go through any obstacle life throws at you. There may be many job opportunities. But it will only be worth it if you get a profession like a doctorate degree or engineering. Many other professions will make you in debt for almost your whole life.

The one group that outweighs all the others is the college graduates proving that with a college degree unemployment is less likely to befriend people who do pursue college. Some people might say that there are loads of jobs that do not require a college degree, especially in this time and age.

In Source F, it is shown that, “Adults who graduated from a four-year college believe that, on average, they are earning $20,000 more a year as a result of having gotten that degree. Adults who did not attend college believe that, on average they are earning $20,000 a year less as a result.” Also, provided in Source F, “...55% say it [college] was very useful in helping them prepare for a job or career.” While these statistics are true, the negatives still outweigh the positives.

So in my opinion I think college is worth it because there are so many Benefits and only one main con which is college debt. Health Insurance is very important and college graduates had 70% access to employer health and high schoolers have 50 percent to health employer insurance and college graduates have a 70% to retirement plans. A lot of college students don 't graduate and waste there money and time and the government 's money and 25% of students who enroll don 't come back the second year.

College is necessary because it helps create a more educated workforce for America and gets and more people into STEM and careers they really love. It may be expensive but it pays off. College gives you a chance at a better future. You gain real world experience and get to have fun and explore yourself. It is worth it to create a better, more productive future for yourself.

Recent studies on adults who didn’t attend college show that ”Two-thirds of those who do not end up enrolling college believed during high school that college was in their futures, but realities like the high price of college often impeded this goal”(Rebecca Klein). In other words tuition costs, low GPAs, and the fear of college being to difficult, petrifies high school seniors into not even applying for colleges. Therefore colleges would benefit those scared to apply by lowering tuition costs and/or lowering standards. Regardless of your excuses to not go to college, you should want to better yourself and in doing that find college alternatives.
