The story of Hamlet is all about his tragic journey through life. Throughout his journey he has to deal with the passing of his father and his mother's hasty remarriage to his uncle C laudius the dead king's brother. It is remarkable how one person can deal with the amount of betray he has had to deal with in his life. I can come to the conclusion that hamlet has depression, you are able to see this through his constant mood swings and lack of interaction with his family and so called friends. As a result of all the stress he is encountering he is slowly driving himself mad and many health problems can occur from this.

He begins with a simplistic view of death as a release from life's hardships, but as he experiences the consequences of his actions and confronts his own mortality, he comes to see death as a complex and unavoidable part of life. Hamlet has just finished publicly speaking with his mom and the new king, and after he is interrupted by his good friend Horatio, who reveal the secret about King Hamlet’s ghost. Hamlet’s grief is apparent to the audience, as he begins lamenting about the uselessness of life.

The death of a loved one can be one of the hardest things someone will have to overcome in their lives. It seems unbelievable that someone can suddenly cease to exist, that there is an end in store for all of us and no one knows what it is. It’s the greatest unknown and has haunted humans as long as humans have existed in any meaningful sense. Having your father die is bad enough, but to have your mother marry your uncle, within a few weeks of your father’s death? Then to see the ghost of your dead father. That would drive anyone a little insane, but maybe not to the extent that everyone thought Hamlet was acting. Hamlet is torn between acting sane and letting everyone else see him as insane.

As with all written works that are turned into movies, Hamlet the movie was different from Hamlet the play. One difference that I noted was the time setting of the story. The play is set in the late middle ages while the movie representation is set in the modern era. Another difference that I noted was that Hamlet in the movie, as well as Ophelia in the movie, seemed a lot crazier than I had pictured when reading the play. Hamlet was represented as psychotic in the movie, while in the play I pictured a man who was crazy over the death of his father, the marriage of his mother, and his love for Ophelia, but not to the point of an absolute psychotic man.

The death of his father really weighs Hamlet and it make Hamlet into a spiral of depression in which lead him to contemplate suicide. Basically, death and decay are two words which give an imagery about something that is rotten, become not existing anymore, and smelly. Ophelia is grieving the loss of her father after Hamlet kills him. Ophelia doesn't know that Hamlet killed her father. But Ophelia has gone mad from learning about her father's death. Also, after Hamlet telling Ophelia that she needs to go to a nunnery, Ophelia is a little bit discouraged. She is discouraged because Hamlet had told her before that if Ophelia would sleep with him that they would get married.

Both character do in the end find out the true behind their father's passing and take action to make it right. The other few difference between the characters is that Hamlet continued on being depressed and never moved on never “Putting he past behind him”. Where as Simba learn to putting it into the past and move on with his life and be happy with his new friends.

In “Hamlet” a tragedy written by William Shakespeare, the death of a character is an occurring event. William Shakespeare uses imagery and allusion to demonstrate the result of manipulation from other characters upon Ophelia, daughter of Polonius, and leading up to her death. Her death was not the consequence of disgraceful actions of her own, but rather by the involvement of others and their influence on her life. Hamlet’s apparent rejection of her love and her father’s personal vindictive leads up to her simple-minded state, entering a world of madness. She has now gone mad, singings nonsense songs and giving people flowers that she has picked from the garden.

The importance of memory and remembrance of the dead in Hamlet can be examined in three facets. Firstly, through how the act of remembering the dead examines practices of mourning. The play is about what it means to remember, therefore tensions are created between characters when they choose to cope with the memory of the dead in different ways. Secondly, the importance of remembering the dead is that it fuels the actions taken in the play, as the events of the play are a fallout of Hamlet’s bid to remember his father. Thirdly, the importance of memory and remembrance of the dead is that the impact vengful actions have on the character’s of the play.

Compare and Contrast Lion King and Hamlet After reading the book hamlet and watching the movie Lion King I discovered there were many similarities and differences. Both come from royalty and both fathers are killed by thier uncles that reaper as ghost with helpful advice, although in hamlet the uncle gets the Queen in lion king the uncle does not, hamlet is a tragedy but lion king was a happy ending. First off. Hamlet is the prince of denmark and the son of the tragically murdered King Hamlet. Simba is the son of Mufasa the king of the lions.

In the play Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Hamlet is tangled with the theme of death. During the play, he presents how his life is surrounded with death after the death of his father. Death theme is the most occuring theme Shakespeare writes about in his plays, which most plays have a very dramatic death theme and most of time involve the death of the main protagonist. Throughout the play, Shakespeare presents the idea of life, which is the never ending cycle of death and revenge. Shakespeare starts the theme of death with the death of King Hamlet, which stimulates Hamlet to seek for revenge with his various soliloquies considering death from various points of view and certainly leads to a dramatic ending.

These continuous deaths heighten the tension, as the suspense and mystery revolving around who would die next, magnifies the sense of anticipation in the audience. These deaths occur gradually, with King Hamlet being the first, as he had died before the play even started. This is followed by Polonius’ death by Hamlet in Act 3, Scene 4. As a result of her father’s death, Ophelia had reached a mental decline and resorted to committing suicide by drowning herself in Act 4, Scene 7. The climax of the play is in the final act which is Act 5, Scene 2; where multiple characters such as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, Gertrude, Claudius, Laertes and Hamlet have reached their untimely deaths.
