PURPOSE
The goal of this lab was to build a mousetrap powered car. The mousetrap car needed to travel fifteen feet. The purpose of building these mousetrap cars was to demonstrate our knowledge of motion, friction, force, distance, and energy. We have studied these concepts, and each one is a factor in the success of a mousetrap car.
HYPOTHESIS
I hypothesized that a mousetrap car without a lever arm would generate more power, and a larger wheel diameter would result in a further distance. I believe that my mousetrap car will generate enough energy to travel fifteen feet. My mousetrap car is designed to quickly release energy and travel farther than most. However, the quicker release of energy can cause the car to steer towards the right.

Therefore, I focused my research on ways to maximize the potential energy. According to Donald (2018), a larger wheel diameter resulted in a further distance. Donald (2018) also explains that the axle turns once each time the string is unwound; therefore, larger wheels rotate more times than the smaller. I also learned that friction and traction were important variables in this experiment. Too much friction could cause the vehicle to stop sooner; however, not enough traction would result in the car “spinning out” (Inspired Learning). I took these factors into account when building my mousetrap car.
MATERIALS
I used the mousetrap to serve as the body of my car. Then, the eyelet hooks I used were to secure the body of the car to the wheel axles. I put hollow pens through the eyelet hooks, and the pens served as the axles. I attached washers to the axles, and I placed the CDs on the pens. Finally, I hot glued everything to make sure that it stayed in place. After a few test trials, I concluded that I needed something to keep the axles from moving. I used unfolded paper clips to fix the problem. Once the car was ready to go, I tied a string from the mousetrap hammer to the rear axle of the car.
Over these 15 consecutive days our criminal justice class has watched the decomposition of 9 still born piglets, which were laid out in a specific way, with specific wounds. Piglet 10 was put into a box at the beginning of the experiment, and was not revealed until the end of it. Each piglet was in its own condition. Piglet 0 was naked in a box, Piglet 1 was naked on the grass, piglet 2 had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burn all over its body, it too was laying on the grass, piglet 3 was stabbed behind right shoulder, also lying on the grass, piglet 4 had a .380 bullet would on its side, it was laying on the grass, piglet 5 was clothed on the grass, piglet 6 was naked piglet on the black top, piglet 7 was clothed on the black top, piglet 8 was suspended in the air with clothes on, and piglet 9 was suspended in the air naked. At the beginning of the experiment we hypothesized on theories we now know the answer too.

First, place the toy in front the dog and then press start on the stopwatch. While they are trying to open the toy, take pictures. Then all you have to do is repeat the steps for the other dogs. Overall in my experiment was testing if different breeds can open the the Paw flapper (the toy). In the end the fastest dog was the Bulldog and the slowest was the Yorkie mixed poodle with poodle.

Living life everyday in a monotonous mechanical fashion is considered a subpar style of life for many. In Small Frogs Killed on the Highway By James Wright, Wright conveys a message perfectly touching on the issue of taking chances. The speaker of the poem reflects on his past choices through describing frogs optimizing their opportunities by deciding to risk death and attempt to cross a road. Throughout the poem Wright uses objects riddled with either deeper meanings or dual meanings. Why are frogs latently compared to humans?

The purpose of this lab was to change pennies from copper to silver to gold, like alchemists have attempted to do in history. Through the data and observations gathered throughout this experiment, it can be concluded that the pennies were not changed into a different element. For example, the density of the penny from 2005; which was the penny that was experimented on to see whether or not it could turn into silver; was 4.62 g/cm3 before the experiment and 4.89 g/cm3 by the end of the experiment. If this copper penny really would have turned into silver, then the density of the penny would be 10.49 g/cm3; which is the density of silver; by the end of the experiment. Introduction: Dissections are performed on preserved animals donated specifically for science education in order to provide a hands-on experience to observe and study anatomy of an animal in three dimension, unlike a textbook, and how the organ systems are interconnected.
