Ethics is a sub-discipline of philosophy which is basically concerned with morals and defining right and wrong behaviour. Research ethics involves the application of ethical principles to many fields involving research including human experimentation, animal experimentation and academic research. Many of these fields of research have different ethical issues, for example the ethical issues academic research mainly consist of plagiarism and falsifying data. Human medical testing has very different ethical issues such as voluntary informed consent. This is for a few reasons, firstly we are so reliant of them that it will be impossible to completely change to renewables overnight . fossil fuels are still the cheapest form of energy available so why would individual people and business chose otherwise to put money into renewable research,, well governments around world have realised the danger of global warming and they know an overnight switch is impossible so the have implemented taxes on fossil fuels and inefficient use of them and put this money into renewable energy research, also provided grants and tax breaks for people and business that are switching to renewables. these actions will slowly make renewable energy more cost effective and appealing to everyone and will move the world away from fossil fuels and towards renewable green energy sources. Ethics are the difference between right or wrong, to follow laws, what humans are supposed to do, common sense, rules of conduct recognized in respect to a particular class of human actions or culture. Charlie Gordon is a slow person that was experimented on to be more intelligent. Charlie Gordons doctors acted ethically when they performed surgery on him to make him smart. The doctors had all medical indications and agreed to do the operation (Siegler). Some say Charlies doctors did not act ethically when they did the operation on him because its not natural for humans to do that.
The goal with fetal tissue research is to find new and improved ways of dealing with diseases. Almost everyone in our country has used a source that has come from the research of fetal tissue. (Fetal tissue, 5) So on the ethics and morals side of the argument any fetal tissue used for research has helped saved millions of people from dealing with diseases such as chickenpox, flu, etc. The argument most people make is that abortion is evil and shouldn’t be supported.

It could be argued that morally, stem cells should not be used for regenerative medicine because stem cells need to be embryonic stem cells. These stem cells come from embryos from an in vitro fertilisation clinic whereby the fertilised egg was donated for scientific research purposes at the consent of the donor.
