Mahat 1 Nisha Mahat GC Govt 2305 April 28, 2017 Interest Group Interest Groups are the group which acts for the benefit of their group by collecting everyone views in a group. It does the planning and implements those plans to achieve their goal of the group. And to be heard their problems by their senior people. They do have a leader who can handle their group in an effective way. The leader should have some specific qualities as a good leader such as smart, courage to speak, motivator, good planner, can set high goals, be an example for others, someone who can see the strength of the individual etc. These above mention qualities make a good leader and a good leader can lead his group and goals to make it successful. I would like to give an example of one of those groups over here. 2 NASFAA (National Association of Student Financial Aid and Administration). 3 “The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) gives proficient advancement to budgetary guide heads; advocates for open approaches that expansion understudy gets to and achievement; fills in as a discussion on understudy money related guide issues, and is focused on differing qualities all through all exercises.” (http://www.nasfaa.org/About_NASFAA) Another Example of an interest group I heard is USSA (United States Student Association). 4 “the mission of The United States Student Association, the country's oldest and largest national student-led organization, develops current and future leaders and amplifies the student voice at the local, state, and national levels by mobilizing grassroots power to win concrete victories on student issues. The United States Student Association Foundation ensures the pipeline of effective student leadership by facilitating education, training and other development opportunities at national, state, and local levels in advocating for issues that affect students.” (www.usstudents.org.) Although, it is challenging to establish an interest group and lead that group as a good example like above-mentioned groups such as NASFAA and USSA. But I believe if there is interest in doing hard work and have patience then nothing is impossible. It should have strategy, planning, vision, unity and effective way to perform its task then success is

There are four interest groups that have a purpose and goals which are Economic, Environmental, Equality, and the interests of all consumers. Economic interest purpose is to advocate for economic benefit of their members. Goals economic interest groups is to shared direct aid and government contracts. Government policy is an important issue in American politics. Policy is influenced in countless different ways, by many different institutions; two in particular are political parties and interest groups. While both political parties and interest groups are able to command heavy influence over policy, I see the latter as the entity that wields this power more effectively. Without interest groups, political party members would be substantially less knowledgeable about the policies they make. Party members tend to be "generalists"; even though they are somewhat knowledgeable about a broad range of issues, they often lack specific intel that is crucial to understanding how a policy will affect a particular group.

A lobby group is a group of persons working on behalf of or strongly supporting a particular cause, such as an industry or an item of legislation. This is also called an interest group as it draws people together because of a shared interest. White ribbon is a lobby group and a male led movement that is trying to stop violence against women. Formed in 1991, after a male student massacred 14 of his fellow female students on 6 December 1989, they now hold a white ribbon day every year between the 25 of November and the 6 of December. They now have international efforts in 57 different countries all over the world.
Interest groups are “organizations whose members have a common cause for which they seek to influence public policy.” The larger interest groups are listened to, according to Scott Reeder of the Times, not only because of campaign contributions but also because interest groups are “organized, passionate groups of ordinary people who speak out.” The role of interest groups in policy is questionable as there are many arguments for and against them. One critical case defending the role of interest groups in government is that interest groups are a vital element of democratic politics and allow citizens to involve themselves further in their government. However, interest groups are also a type of faction warned about by James Madison in Federalist 10 as it may represent interests at odds with the public good.
An interest group is any organization that seeks to influence public policy. Interest groups do not seek responsibility for direct management of government. A single-issue group may form in response to a particular issue area sometimes in response to a single event. There are several different kinds of interest groups in the American political system. Some of the most common ones are Economic Groups, Social Policy Groups, and Public Interest Groups.

Lobbying politicians is the predominant way in which citizens and organizations can attempt to shape the political process (Bernhagen, 2012, p. 20). Individuals who share common interests get together and form an interest group which, through lobbying, influences the law to either their, or society's, advantage. Specifically, these interest groups try to pressure the government to change public policies (Dyck, 2012, p. 18). There are, in fact, two types of interest groups; private interest groups and public interest groups. The difference between the two is one of utmost importance.
Unlike political parties, there is no nomination for candidacy of office. Their main objective is to present, influence, and maintain valence issues to the dominant political parties to promote policy-making changes through Congress. These groups stand different in many category issues, but their primary purposes are either or both economic and noneconomic issues. Issues dealing with state level businesses and professional groups, education, agriculture, low taxes, securing subsidies, and avoiding regulation are operated by economic interest groups. Noneconomic interests want the betterment of society as one, personal freedom, clean air or water that cannot be measured fully on
Special interest groups [SIGs] are individual who form groups that connect colleagues working in a similar practice with a common interest that seek to achieve a social or political change on a particular issue or issues (Mason, Gardner, Outlaw, & O'Grady, 2016).). Examples of nursing SIGs are American Association of Critical Care Nurses [AACN] Association, and the Oncology Nursing Association [ONS]. These groups provide discussion mediums on topics of interest such as clinical, legislative or practice issues and are formal. I am member of and participate in the SIG such as the AACN, the ONS and the National Red Cross. I believe every nurse should belong to one of these SIGs as these groups assist us to advance nursing through research,

A public interest groups is the most common type of interest group, which is supposed to be built not to be partisan, or expect any profit from changing public policy, and like the name insinuates, is run by the people, and for the people. As I finish my course I have thoroughly enjoyed writing about the different topics of Interest Groups and Government. I will take away a great deal of knowledge when it comes to Politics and the way Interest Groups influence such dealings. I believe in the knowledge of all subjects and this course has helped me in a political aspect when it comes to Political Interest Groups and how they affect us worldwide. Becoming an advocate for what you believe in will take you many places, but of course I also learned that having support groups and a financial support is a big factor that comes into play. Standing for what I believe will now become the forefront of my
