Ignorance is bliss.In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury he tries to send readers a message that is saying knowing everything isn 't always good. We shouldn 't always try to know everything because sometimes the truth hurts or it causes pain and misery. It warned what too much knowledge could do to us and the harm it could cause our world. He wants his readers to get the message that the world may be a better place without advancements in technology. Even after 60 plus years he has still encouraged Americans to use this book as a warning to society. In Fahrenheit 451 it states that ‘they burned books and made fires’. Even this was a horrible thing to do. They said it was to make people happy and to censor certain things but they were also causing problems to the environment. They wanted a happy world in the book but they were ruining it in reality. Now we have much worse things like cars that leave of smog and gases like carbon monoxide and all those other gases that are led of from everywhere. They ruin our natural wonders, cause global warming and make the earth look so dirty. These gases cause deaths from premature birth, lung cancer, heart attacks, to asthma attacks. In an article by LA Times it states that, ¨Bakersfield tops the list for having the most unhealthy days from airborne particles spewed by highway traffic, diesel trucks, farm equipment and fireplaces, the American Lung Assn. 's State of the Air 2016 report says.¨ This here is a city that is over polluted because of technological issues. Cars ruin our atmosphere and we don 't need advancements in technology if all it is going to do is hurt us and cause deaths.
