1.1 Background of the Research
Technology has always develop for a long time. Until today, it is still develops at a stunning pace. As a matter of fact, technology has touched every aspect of life; from the way we move by using a horse changed into automobile, from walking on the land to flying in the air and reach farther distance. The products we are using in our daily life also produced by the technology. Under those circumstances, including the economy, politics, and also society, are affected by technology.
Furthermore, the technologies that we are using have a great impact on the society. Technology has changed the way people live. This phenomenon was started from the time industrial revolution happened, where technology finally could be produced massively.
The picture of developing technology could be found in any writing document as well as a novel. From the using of technology for life on 1823 Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein through the imaginary future in Brave New World by Aldous Huxley in 1932, literary works has explained the worst and best illustration of using technologies in our daily life. Specifically, one of the greatest author who talked about technology in his works is Ray Bradbury.

The name Douglas is taken from his own name and Spaulding is taken from his father. As we count the year of the setting of the novel 1928, around that time Bradbury who was born, on 22nd August 1920, he must be eight years old. He has calculated the setting so it would fit his real age during that time. Also, the setting of the place is in the summer, exactly the same with the time when he was born, which is in August. In Ray Bradbury's dramatic dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451, tells a story about characters in a world where everything is censored, monitored, and destroyed.
To what extent are our beliefs influenced by the actions of others, In the novel fahrenheit 451 by ray bradbury ,he shows through multiple characters how beliefs are influenced by the actions of others. In my essay i will be talking about a few key characters and scenes that are good examples of this topic. these characters are clarisse mcclellan an elderly lady and granger. Montag throughout the novel is the main protagonist and his beliefs are influenced by many people through multiple scenarios. It is quite early in the book were montag starts to feel different about himself and becomes confused with the person he is now a s he is introduced to some characters that will soon have a big effect on him .
Fahrenheit 451- Guy Montag is a fireman, but instead of putting out fires he starts them on the houses of people that read books. One day, on his way home from work, he meets his new neighbor, 17 year old Clarisse McClellan, on the street who is very different from anyone he had ever met before. They began to talk and she opened his eyes to things in the world he had never known about, and had never thought about before. After talking with her, he reached home to find that his wife, Mildred, overdosed on her sleeping pills.
Mr.Bradbury was a very successful man in his lifetime. From writing close to thirty novels , and hundreds of short stories. Fahrenheit 451 was one of Mr.Bradbury’s most successful novel along with the Martian Chronicles being his most successful short story. When Mr.Bradbury was twenty-two he decided to ask out his very very first girlfriend, Maggie. Mr.Bradbury was an interesting man.
Something that I have learned about someone in class this week that I did not know before is about Randy's future job. I have never knew that Randy wanted to be a teacher in the future, because he never told me. Furthermore, I never thought that Randy wants to become a teacher because he is so shy and introvert. I could not imagine him standing in front of a crowd and talk for the whole day. 2)
A society hooked on TV, and police forces that harass and punish independent thinkers, is this really just FICTION?!.The book “Fahrenheit 451” was about a fireman name Montag. It was not normal for people to talk and have meaningful conversations until Montag met Clarisse. Montag does the opposite from what regular fireman do. He starts fires instead of putting them out. Books in Montag's society is forbidden to read and if they were caught reading a book, the book would be set on fire.
Ray Bradbury was and is an excellent author. You can really fell through his writing what he is trying to express. ”It was a special pleasure to burn to see things eaten,to see things blackened and changed”(Bradbury 1 ).In Fahrenheit 451 Ray Bradbury is expressing that one day soon the world can forget what is right and what is wrong. He has a certain way of using words to describe something.

The current education system has only met simple requirements of the state and does not fully seek to bring out the potential in each and every student. It may find the simple flaws of the young scholars and fix those flaws to some degree, but time can also heal a once broken wing of a fallen hatchling. Simply because this hatchling has wings, it does not mean it has taught itself the ability to fly.
The story is based in a futuristic United States where the main character’s named Guy Montag. In the book, a fireman’s job is to burn books from the old days. After a long day at work, he heads home but before goes inside his home, he ends up meeting his neighbor’s daughter. A 17 year old girl named Clarisse McClellan. She recognizes he a firefighter and begins to converse a little while their walking.
Paper burns at 451 degrees Fahrenheit, which is why Ray Bradbury titled his book Fahrenheit 451. This book mentions a dystopian society where firefighters burn books instead of putting out fires. The main character, Montag, realizes that his actions as a firefighter are wrong, and becomes a fugitive running from the police. Fahrenheit 451 is the most “messed up” text that was read by Ms. Troxel’s third period class because this future could happen to society.
Jack O’Reilly 7/27/15 Fahrenheit 451 Characters Gus Montag- a 30 year old man who is the protagonist of the story, a fireman whose job is to burn books. Then realizes what he's missing out on and begins to find the meaning of what’s inside the books. Gus Montag has black hair, and is about 30 years old. After meeting Clarisse McClellan he finds her outlook on refreshing. After the burning of an old women, Gus Montag develops a strong hate for his job and goes against it.
Montag burns books. He does that in a city in America. People like him do not put out the fire, they make fire. They watch television a lot and they drive so so fast. One day Guy Montag run across with a young girl.
Happiness: Real or Fake? In Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury makes Beatty and Clarisse have different views of happiness. The author makes these characters have two viewpoints on being happy and unhappy to explain the mistakes society has made and the dystopian setting. Bradbury portrays the value of happiness is superficial and created by the government, specifies the things that create and decrease happiness, and how the government maintains society’s happiness.
