I am doing a debate on whether or not football punters deserve more credit than they get. I think the punters definitely deserve more credit they are always overlooked and they do the same amount of practice as the rest of the football team. i think that punters are overlooked in football because they just play when they punt and to score a field goal. what most people don 't consider is that they practice with everybody else they are also on the field as much as some of the players. I really like the punters they are very talented and they are very overlooked. this debate was started when Jon Ryan the seahawks punter went on the T.V. show American Ninja Warrior. he did not move on but this stirred up the Question of are Punters Overlooked
Why RG3 truly is the best QB in the NFL (This piece may or may not contain high levels of satire.) So, Robert Griffin the third is 'officially ' the best QB in the NFL. The source?

I chose to write my article on Johnny Hekker the punter for the Los Angeles Rams and his story on what it took to become a punter. His initial step was the motivation to go to the Oregon State to get a scholarship; he was already a football player that had some of the attributes needed to be a college football player and then a professional kicker in the NFL. He talked a lot about having the Bone/Structure and body composition needed to be a kicker and he also mentioned that he practiced being a kicker in high school but was not that good at it. His main goal was to be a quarterback in college but the coaches identified him as having the potential to be a punter instead. One of the things that stood out to me was that he was given the opportunity

It’s rare to see the NFL under fire, but when it come to concussions, that’s a different story. The NFL claims progress is being made. On the first day of the start of the NFL season, linebacker Stewart Bradley of the Philadelphia Eagles tackled a player head first; his legs began to buckle and he collapsed. Minutes later, he was subbed back into the game. The NFL calls that progress?
Football is generally a very dangerous sport, especially at the college level. The players are taking very high risks and are not being compensated for it. According to the Abc news article, “college players
Youth Tackle Football Why the interest in youth football lately? Youth football has been getting a bad rep lately because of concerned parents. Parents of football players are concerned for their child’s safety while playing tackle football. Plenty of cities and towns are banning youth football, because of concussions.
Kids these days are very competitive and always want the best advantage they can get. Parents and their children even coaches all agree on letting the kids play at young age so it can't be so effective. The article "Study of former NFL players highlights risks of tackling too young" states that "NFL players who started playing Tackle football before age 12 performed an average of 20 percent worse on a series of cognitive tests than those who started playing tackle football after they have celebrated their 12th birthdays. " This shows that Kids can keep starting at a young age and at a risk that might not affect them in the future. Kids will do anything for the extra
Young boys go full force in everything they do, and football is no exception. Most boys will start playing at age five, beginning the blows to the head that continue each year they participate in the sport. Young boys do not realize that concussions each year are greatly detrimental to their developing brain. Playing tackle football before the age of twelve can lead to negative cognitive effects and memory decline later in life. Playing tackle football has an overall negative effect on the cognitive and memory aspects of the adult brain; therefore, the age of players needs to be increased above the age of twelve years old.
While saying that an NFL player is more prone to injuries those injuries could force a player to retire and lose the money that they could have earned in the future. The average NFL career is 3.3 years and over that time the average career earnings for a regular NFL player is 2 million. Looking at that you can see that over those 3.3 years that it would be pretty easy to spend around 2 million. With extravagant lifestyle that NFL players live. With players getting injured and with most of them being head injuries.
The million dollar question; should college athletes be paid? This is an immense debate, but if you were to ask me, I would say yes, college athletes should be paid. There are a plethora of reasons why college athletes should get paid. College athletes should get paid because of the amount of time they put into their sport, the amount of money everyone else is making off of them, and their overall importance to the school. There are a myriad of reasons that people can argue the opposite way, but, the reasons they should get paid definitely outweigh the reasons they shouldn’t get paid.
Breaking over 9 Quarter Back records, and potentially various more in the future, people either hate or love New England Patriot Quarter Back, Tom Brady. Generally speaking, there is no between. The real question is: "to hate or not to hate" this record-breaking beast, with 4 Super Bowl rings on his hand. Simple; not to hate. With scandals such as "Deflate Gate," and "Spy Gate,"Tom Brady has been accused of cheating several times.
Are they students or employees? They spend more time with the sport than in school. Student athletes should be acknowledged for their performances. College athletes should be paid to play because they bring money into the school, advertisement, and they perform the same tasks of pros. College kids bring in thousands of dollars every game day.
Are NFL players Paid too much? Are NFL players overpaid? I think that they are because the #1 paid player in 2012 earned $50 million and the top 3 positions that get paid the most are the Quarterback, Offensive line and the Defensive line. First, I would like to talk about how Odell Beckham JR.
The NFL has always consisted of male players, but that needs to change. I strongly believe that girls should be able to play football because we love football too, it’s unfair and sexist, and we deserve an opportunity to participate in sports. Being a girl myself, I can say that it’s pretty tough being a girl that loves football. Most of the time, I don’t get to play something that gives me confidence simply because of my gender. Not only do boys love football, but we do too.
