Having more money go into the economy will help money go towards funding college however they would choose to deal with splitting the costs. However, it is still an issue for students to cough up that money. The idea of making community college free to any student in America has been a dream for low income students for a while. President Obama’s desire to make the tuition of community college to everyone in the nation would only make it difficult for students to get a free education, limit them to essential resources, and discourage students from applying to four year universities. Granting free community college tuition to incoming freshmen will draw “more students to already crowded community colleges”. College is one of the most important and life changing times in the life of an American. Leaving high school behind and venturing out to the adult world is an amazing experience that every individual should experience. However, young adults from every corner of the country leave college with crippling debt or do not go to their preferred college of choice. College education should be cheaper as it will help families and students financially and give them the satisfaction with having the opportunity to go to their first choice for college.

Some college students are working part-time jobs and are full-time students. Perhaps, working through college will not always cover all of a student's education expenses including books, supplies, room and board. If free tuition is given, students will have further time to educate themselves. Moreover, college tuition and prices are at an all-time high. Each year, prices are rising higher and higher.

A college education is one of the most expensive an American can buy in their lifetime. According to a 2014 study, the average amount of student loan debt after four years of college is $30,000 (US News). In 2013, this number was $28,400, meaning that debt is increasing slowly and steadily. Even ten years ago, student loan debt was not nearly this much. Not being able to pay for college is one of the largest factors in why students don’t pursue an education.

It does eliminate a few thousand dollars, however, it does not get rid of other expenses that coincide with being a college student. President and professor of economics at Vassar College, Catherin Hills, appears to agree that Sanders’ plans are more intricate than what he makes it seem by stating that, “...there is more to college affordability than lower prices” (Text 2, line 3). Sanders give the impression that a student's main worry lies on tuition. There are more expenses that are needed to pay; fees, supplies, textbooks, nourishments that still cost plenty of money. However, making tuition free will result in students having less to pay.

In today society, people are easily looked by their college degree level and they can be judged by their degree. But not everybody can afford to go to college in order to get a degree. People have different reasons of not going to college but most of the reasons are because of the tuition. Tuition are too high and they can not afford it. If the free college situation does not make a great effect on the economy, I believe that college should be free because free college can encourage more students to go to college, earn a degree and can decide on their future without the worry of paying debt and contributing to create a better society with their knowledges.

College should be free in the United States for multiple reasons. These reasons include, but are not limited to, the following. College is too expensive for the majority of the population of the United States. If college was free, it would let people explore their horizon, and have an easier time finding a desirable career. College has been proven to be effective, and even shown to have been working in the united states for over 100 years.

Why should college tuition be free? Well because more and more jobs require an education higher than a high school diploma. Students that attend college are trying to build a successful life while expanding their knowledge doing it debt free. Building a higher education for an easier life shouldn't be so difficult, making students pay more than 10 thousand dollars a year is injudicious.   For instance, students attend college for a reason, they are planning a successful life for themselves.

There are a tremendous amount of facts to back this up. This information should be used to show the many benefits of lowering college costs and making it cheaper for every student that wants to attend. Some of the great facts and reasons that college cost should be cheaper include lower poverty rates, lower homeless rate, and a much lower student debt rate creating many more opportunities for people to get great jobs and start a family and not have to worry about student they have. I do not think that college should be free unless you have a scholarship because the people that work for these colleges still need to make a living and the campus needs to stay running as well. With all of this great information I think all colleges should take into consideration making college cheaper for everyone.

The point is, all we know is that someone will pay these dues through taxes, and the uncertainty of who will carry the burden is not making many Americans comfortable. By negating the large bill of a college education, we could see an increase in the number of students able to attend college. This then creates a more well-educated workforce and a population that has better critical thinking skills. This could lead to more innovation in all areas of society.
