George Washington: The Revolutionary Hero
George Washington, the first President of the United States, once said, “The Constitution is the guide which I never will abandon.” Having said the following, Washington delivered a promise to the people of the United States that he would uphold the truths, rights, and laws stated within the Constitution and put forth the need of the entire country as a whole. George Washington has benefitted modern society by establishing the regulations of the U.S. presidency, leading soldiers in the Revolutionary War to gain freedom from Great Britain, and aiding the United States economy forward through his authority as President.

George Washington was commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, during the American Revolutionary War (History.com Staff). Washington left one of the most enduring legacies of any American in history as he is known as the” Father of His Country” (History.com Staff). All in all, Washington’s hard work, efforts, and accomplishments make him a well-known historical figure as he has impacted the nation with his intelligence, courage, and patriotism.
