Going to college makes it easier to find a job and a great paying one at that. A lot of people think that college is just high school continued, but it’s not. College opens doors that high school doesn’t. It can change, and shape one in ways that might not be imaginable. That little piece of paper called a diploma proves to the world and to an employer that one is willing to take the time to devote to their life and work. The college study is a great way to achieve the opportunities that will come my way in the future. People study in college for many different reasons. I think the most important reason is my career choice. To me, if I don’t like the idea of a job out there, I’m not going to do it or even consider it. Choosing a career that I’m in love with, pays well, and is something I really want to do is what I’m looking for. These days, most jobs require people who are educated and have good job skills. Therefore, the people who want a good job have to study hard and at least graduate with a high school education. People who follow through with high school and work hard at a college education can almost always achieve the career of their dreams. College doesn’t ensure happiness or success, but it opens up a lot of doors and helps create opportunities for the future (“Why”). As I go through this program, and later on hopefully getting a job in this field, I will be making amazing pay as a twenty year old. People with a college degree make around $1,100 a week, but someone with a high school diploma makes just $638 (“5”). The thought of it is unreal, but as I get into this field of study, I will continue to think about how big of a role my parents played in my life through all it. I plan to give thanks back by being there for them as they age and being the support system for my family later on in
