During my job shadow with Ms. Eileen Chalupa on Doane’s Campus I learned how to be creative, come up with my own style of graphic designing, and most importantly to never give up or lose hope on a project that someone has asked for. Her job is the head graphic designer at Doane University. Some questions that I asked her during the job shadow were what are some positive aspects and negative aspects of working as a graphic designer, are the hours flexible for the job and another question I asked was what training did she do to get ready for this type of work and if it required any type of education to complete. One of the reasons she chose this career was because her mother went through the desktop publishing program at Southeast Community …show more content…
She also said how her mother brought back her classwork and software necessary and then she learned how to handle those programs by herself teaching her the technical side of graphic design. Those programs were early versions of Photoshop, Pagemaker, QuarkXPress, and Super Paint. She says that the things she produced back then were bad because she inserted every font she could and inserted graphics randomly. In summer camp for high school students she finally got into some design classes by working for school publications. Then when she went to college typography courses it brought a new level of sophistication to her designs. Now she continues to learn about new trends, rules and abilities to use in her designs. Overall I learned how hard it can be to follow this career path from high school all they way through College, but no matter how hard it can be you can never give up. I also learned to give myself credit and not critique every little detail or else it will lead to me hating my own work. There are different types of programs to use to get practice as a graphic designer. Clubs like the high school yearbook committee or anyplace that needs graphics will not only help the person needing them, but also help myself improve in everything I do with this

As a student at Mountain Heritage High School, I started taking classes as a freshman to learn about architecture, interior designing, and landscape architecture. Second semester of my sophomore year, I wanted to become a Dental Hygienist. I started changing my schedules to classes that would help me in dental hygiene. Thankfully, I took a college class that would ease me into the medical field. It helped me to realize that Dental Hygiene is for me.
They later married and life took them to London where they leased a property. However, their marriage was marred by separation and went south due to the infertility of her husband. All the time she was lonely, she spent time perfecting her art of metalworking and woodworking (Corey, 2012). At this time, she spent time assisting the need and doing works of charity. After the death of her husband, she spent more time in charity work and learning her art in wood and metal.
She taught her how to appreciate what she had, and how to get a job done.
Sudipta Bardhan and Diana Childress are both authors of two stories. One named “A Life Painting Animals” and the other being “The Osage Firebird”. Both talk about a person’s life and their ways to overcome difficult obstacles. One however did the best to describe the person’s ways on overcoming them. That was “A Life Painting Animals” by Diana Childress; it showed what she did to overcome her many obstacles to be successful.
She decided to spend her entire day drawing and painting as opposed to finding a real job and providing for her children. “Mom devoted herself to her art. She spent all day working on oil paintings, watercolors, charcoal drawings, pen and ink sketches, clay and wire sculptures, silk screens, and wood blocks. She didn 't have any particular style; some of her paintings were what she called primitive, some were impressionistic and abstract, some were realistic. "I don 't want to be pigeonholed," she liked to say.”

After reading “In Praise of the ‘F’ Word” written by Mary Sherry I can tell you first hand that she did an exceptional job using rhetoric to make the readers believe what she believes. Although she used all three, ethos, logos, and pathos, she mainly used ethos and pathos to not only get her point across but to also persuade the audience. To begin, Mary Sherry used very little logos, but when she did she used it in a very powerful and effective way. In the very first sentence of the speech she says a shocking statistic, “Tens of thousands of eighteen year olds will graduate this year and be handed meaningless diplomas.”
For her, it was then off to Texas. She studies for three years at the University of Texas at Austin where she received her Masters of Fine Arts (MFA). The last chapter of her studies was conducted in
She taught me how to give people the benefit of the doubt. Most of all during this time of reading every article and listening to her old music again made me realize that kindness is the most powerful tool any individual can possess. By giving my all to my passion, and allowing my self to animate countless terrain, characters and objects to show the both of you that animation can go far, and no matter what I will continue reaching for my dream. After going through so much to get were I am now, and reading about this spectacular woman. The problems I’ve faced seemed inadequate, for the purpose I’ve made it this far
Throughout her career, she had inspirations from her mom and challenges from her dad. Overall, she was taught to be persistent through it all and strive to reach your dreams, even if most people do not agree. ”Keep smiling because life is a beautiful thing and there is so much to smile about”(Marilyn
Graphic Design has always been an ever evolving and changing field. Graphic design-like activities can be found throughout history like the ancient cave paintings or the manuscript of the Middle Ages. As the true purpose of graphic design is to communicate, technology has since made this process more effective, extending the reach and spread of information. This allows graphic design to have a higher level of impact that cannot be achieved without the use of technology.
In the 20th century, Graphic Design evolved and changed for the better in many ways. During this century, many prominent Graphic Designers emerged and changed everything that was known about graphic design with their revolutionary works. Also, general ideas about art changed and art was developed for different reasons, like propaganda posters. First, I will discuss the new graphic design in the early 20th century.
One of the most important things she learned from him is that each and every time there was a new opportunity, she had to think of it as a new door opening to her welcoming her into a new future. Thanks to this wonderful encouragement to go to college, she was able to get a Ph.D. in Animal Sciences from a
She has taken one art class every year since kindergarten, and in high school she had designed t-shirts and sold them in school. Young also constructed poster for the KEY club she was in, and this is more than enough credibility for her experience in graphic design. She has been involved with some type of design or art form since she was very young, you can see as she gains more knowledge and her passion that grows and grows as years go by. Now she has excelled and has a degree in the field, and can show how effective her knowledge is on the topic. These designs start as building blocks and have to have a specific meaning using all six principles of graphic
