Honor College Goals

I would love to share my experience with others to help ease their transition into college life. An Honors Ambassador should excel in a few skills such as: clear communication skills and being able to connect and relate to a variety of potential students and their parents. They should hold good student values by attending every class, staying involved, or going that extra mile to express the best of their abilities. My communication skills have substantially improved since I started working as a front desk receptionist at McCorkle Sales in Claxton as a high school senior.

My ultimate endeavor since attending community college has been my involvement in school, specifically with Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. As an engineering major I am limited to a diminutive amount of free time, due to the quantity and difficulty of my classes. However, this limitation and the fact that my ride to school is a two hour trip on public transportation, has not stopped me from participating in extracurricular activities. Applying my time management and responsibility skills that I acquired from taking several math base classes at the same time, I managed to become a member of clubs and attain leadership roles. I first became the Vice President of Service, for Phi Theta Kappa and organized service events on campus and outside of campus.

This program will allow me to learn about different aspects of the world and how someone like me can make a difference. I also hope to achieve an amazing educational experience and connect with new people. I wish to enroll in the Early College Program because I want to prove to myself the person I can grow to

I want to be part of the National Honors Society because I want to be part of a group of intelligent young adults that take pride in the service and leadership roles that I also am very proud of. The Urban Honors College, in my family, has always been seen as an advantageous program to be a part of. Urban Honors is a rigorous program, but it provides many great opportunities too. It separates a groups of students, who all have a similar drive for excellence, from the rest of the student body and allows them to flourish. For this very reason I want to join this program. I want the challenge of a more difficult workload, while attending PSU and I feel the Urban Honors College is my best choice.

Furthermore, I supply a mind eager to be molded and determined to absorb as much knowledge as possible throughout the four years in the honors curriculum. Similarly, I am excited to participate and experience campus life and be active with what the honors college community offers and forge lasting bonds with my peers whilst still remaining dedicated to my education and work. Additionally, I provide an accepting attitude towards new ideals and culture. I am a dedicated, motivated, open-minded, social-able, intelligent student who is ready to be part of something great, the University of Southern Mississippi’s honors college.

College Goal Statement Healthcare has long been known for being the most rewarding, demanding, and rapidly growing fields. However, from a young age, I knew that my purpose in life lay within its realms. I would watch medical shows like Untold Stories of the E.R and play with one of those plastic doctor kits trying to emulate the television. That is when I decided I wanted to be an Emergency Room doctor. Throughout Middle school career, I got high marks in science as I found that more interesting than anything else.

The Honors College provides many advantages for students. Such as guidance and the special Honors College curriculum. The guidance would allow me to have a smooth transition from high school to college. The guidance would be a rock for me to lean back on when I am struggling. The special curriculum allows me to expand my critical and analyzing skills.

The question so often pondered by the youth of this nation is our goal in life, what we plan on accomplishing and how we will do it. The goal of my education is to better the life of myself and those of others through the accomplishments I make as a young scholar. I plan on attending a four year college and playing a sport, after my first education I will be hoping to attend a doctorate program specializing in pharmacy. Through my education I hope to work at a pharmaceutical lab creating new medicines in the hope of saving people 's lives. With the help of scholarships my goal will be to attend a four year college.

Is succeeding in college what you are after? Just what exactly is success? Success is defined as “achieving something desired, or attaining prosperity”. Succeeding in college depends solely on your motivation and you willingness to develop good study habits. Your motive is simply the reason why you are in college.

College is all about trying to new things, one of the goals I set out for myself in August was to get myself out there. I joined several organizations my freshman year such as UTA Volunteers, The African Student Organization, and The Muslim Student Association. This year I also became a volunteer at the Texas Health Memorial Hospital in Arlington, an overall great experience and exposure to a hospital setting. I was able to participate in numerous diverse UTA events because of these organizations and met so many amazing people who have become close friends. Some of my favorite events were Oozeball and bed races, which in both events UTA Volunteers competed in the finals.
