Four Shots to Change America On a clear and sunny Dallas day, Lee Harvey Oswald brought to work with him, four shots to change America. And why wouldn’t Oswald take these shots? He was a failure at everything he tried his hand at and a loner who lost everything. Lee had dreamed of greatness but in fact had failed at all aspects of life except living itself. He would do anything for his dream of greatness to come true. Even kill the president of the United States. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the president of one of the most powerful countries in the world. Loved by his citizens (except for white racists in the South), he had everything. He succeeded at everything he set his mind to (except the Bay of Pigs invasion). He was a winner. A winner, …show more content…
In the social world, the assassination was a bombshell. It eroded the trust of the American people in each other and melded emotions and politics, igniting a series of politically motivated assassinations of famous individuals like the infamous Lee Harvey Oswald, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Robert F. Kennedy and Alberta Williams King (MLK Jr.’s mother). “The transformation of a murder by a marginal man into a killing by a sick culture began instantly -- before Kennedy was buried.” (James Reston) This sick culture that Reston talked about is the one that murdered infamous Lee Harvey Oswald, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Robert F. Kennedy and Alberta Williams King. This sick culture also grew in other ways. For example, after the assassination of JFK, due to the lack of information and poor investigating on the part of the police due to overly emotional detectives and Secret Service members, who felt emotionally attached to Kennedy’s presidency, people began to make speculations. The American public, who couldn’t fathom some loser, loner nobody killing the most powerful man in the world, suspected a conspiracy in the assassination. Since the USSR and Cuba doing it would be an act of war for either party

The mystery behind JFK can be summed up in two theories: Lee Harvey Oswald killed him and The Mafia killed JFK.
In this article, Appleton explores various survey results to solve the mystery of President Kennedy’s assassination. Assessing Harris survey results on the Kennedy assassination, Appleton discloses that most of the Americans believed that other than Harvey Oswald, other people were involved. Besides, notes Appleton (15), a Gallup poll conducted in 1976 indicated that both non-whites and Democrats were most likely to believe in a conspiracy than others. However, Americans with college education alongside those in higher income groups accepted that the assassination of Kennedy was a one-man action. From his analysis, Appleton discloses that there are substantial beliefs about Kennedy assassination conspiracy to have been caused by a political

Because of the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald during his jail transfer, he was not able to receive the defense he deserved. The assassinations of John K. Kenney and Lee Harvey Oswald are two of the biggest unsolved mysteries in the history of the
Thesis Statement 40 years later to 2008 when on the eve the U.S. Presidential election; a newcomer, Democrat Barack Obama is going against establishment Republican John McCain. MLK’s stature is stronger than ever as he invokes memories of the current Democratic nominee. I intend to prove that the cataclysmic event of the MLK assassination sowed seeds that paved the way for the eventual election of the first African-American President. MLK was assassinated in 1968 nearly 40 years to the day of the 2008 Presidential election.
It’s the year 1976, the United States Senate has just called for a new inquiry into the infamous assassination of President John F. Kennedy, who was shot in 1963 during his own motorcade in Dallas, TX while running for re-election. The CIA along with the FBI were coaxed into releasing new documents on Lee Harvey Oswald, and individuals who had not given evidence previously were persuaded to come forward. Pieces of evidence such as sound recordings and photographs were being subjected to scientific research analysis using more modern equipment. In 1979 the House Select Committee on Assassinations, or (HCSA), finally came to a verdict that Lee Harvey Oswald shot three times at the president; one of which, hitting his head and killing him. It was also concluded that a fourth shot was taken from ‘the grassy knoll’, which was something that was contradicting to the statement given by the Warren Commission 16 years earlier.
Brian Hernandez Prof. Cicirelli CM-115-02 11/30/15 JFK Assassination Many conspiracies have taken place within government, but none of them have been more serious then JFK assassination. When JFK had fired its director and other agents, the CIA was scared that Kennedy would take down the CIA permently, he believed to be an extremely terrible agency under the government. The shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald, who was in the marines at one point was planted into the biggest CIA camp somewhere in the Asian pacific and had been wanting to attend the CIA. Apparently he was the guy for the job. Many critics say that Lee Harvey Oswald might have been brain washed by the CIA.
John F. Kennedy was seen as a force of change in the presidential election, and is considered one of the youngest presidents to ever be in office, and was a beacon of hope for many. He sounds a bit like King Arthur now, but as one looks even deeper, you can start to see the cracks in that comparison. According to
A careful look at the facts known about King’s assassination would lead one to know that Martin Luther King’s assassination was not a conspiracy, it was the work of the criminal James Earl Ray. Although in the end, some may believe that James Earl Ray is innocent or that one of the conspiracies are true, this overlooks the hard facts brought up in the investigations. The lack of definitive proof or witnesses and the changing statements of the people involved leads to an unsure conclusion. The various conspiracies may hold some relevance, however, each conspiracy shows weak points that removes it from the list of plausible theories.
Malcolm X was a man with great controversy. Many thought he was a powerful speaker with great ability to influence others. Others believed this was a tremendous threat to the Nation of Islam and individuals who disagreed with his philosophy. Malcolm X was killed by two black gunmen from the Nation of Islam just before giving a speech at Audubon. Despite many people’s concerns that Malcolm X was dangerous, the assassination of Malcolm X was unjust because of the work he did to achieve civil rights for African Americans and was a result of a power struggle within the Nation of Islam.
RFK assured, “I can also feel in my own heart the same kind of feeling.” RFK outright told the audience he can relate to their grief. RFK continued, “I had a member of my family killed, but he was killed by a white man.” Similar to MLK’s death, JFK was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, a white man. This use of logos and ethos showed the audience how RFK could really understand how this affected them, because he had already experienced it.
Although his accomplishments were limited, many still consider him one of the greatest presidents of all time. American Journalist, James Reston once said,"The tragedy of John Fitzgerald Kennedy was greater than the accomplishment, but in the end the tragedy enhances the accomplishment and revives the hope. "(Gale. Historic World Leaders.) Despite not being able to serve a full term before being assassinated, he was able to accomplish many things and even make
John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was a leader who inspired and challenged the American people during a time of great change and uncertainty. Kennedy was a charismatic and visionary leader who possessed many of the qualities that are essential for effective leadership. One of Kennedy's most notable leadership qualities was his vision. He had a clear understanding of the direction he wanted to take the country, and he communicated that vision to the American people through his speeches and actions. He challenged the country to achieve great things, such as landing a man on the moon, and he inspired a generation to believe that anything was possible.
On April 4, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy delivered the news to a largely populated African- American crowd in Indiana that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had been assassinated (Stack, 2018). When Kennedy gave his speech, he kept reiterating the idea of love, wisdom, and compassion towards one another during this tragic time. This idea was important to address when it comes to demographics of his audience (Kennedy.) Within his audience there weren’t just people of color, there were people of all skin colors. However, it was important to address the concern of every person, reminding the audience, no matter their skin color to choose compassion and love instead of polarizing America and filling it with hatred and revenge.
In the movie A Time To Kill, Carl Lee’s daughter, Tonya Hailey, was raped by two men named Billy Ray Cobb and James Willard. As Billy Ray Cobb and James Willard were about to go to a hearing at court, Carl Lee comes out with a M16 and kills both of the men who raped his daughter. Carl Lee was angry over the fact that Billy Ray and James raped his daughter, so he decides to kill them. He could have let them rot and be miserable in jail, but killed them to make the situation more worse than it already was. Similarly, Martin Luther King was assassinated over
