Ideology of Hitler and Lord Voldemort Many of today’s greatly known leaders and dictators are recognized for the path of respect they leave behind, or in some cases, a path of hatred. The leader of the Nazi regime, Adolf Hitler, once said, “Great liars are also great magicians” (Sharma, 14). When comparing the motives and the views of Hitler, one can make connections between the leaders of the past and the characters in today’s fiction. Lord Voldemort, from the Harry Potter series, can be compared to Hitler and his ideals. Lord Voldemort can be described as evil, power-thriving, and a leader in the Dark Arts. Dark Arts by definition is, “Dark Arts, or Dark Magic, refers to magic that is

From the beginning of their lives and how they grew to be prejudice and have nothing but hatred towards the Jews and muggle-borns. Hitler proves to have used his wits of lying to gain his connections to become chancellor, which had put him toward the top of Germany’s authority pyramid. Like Lord Voldemort, he used his wits and what he was best at, dark arts, to create fear and began to spread his name, which took him to the top of totem pole because everyone feared him. With the help of the Diary of Tom Riddle and Mein Kampf , these leaders spread their ideologies and lies of society across their publics. Some belived and conformed and those who did not were punished. When Hitler began making plots to set up the Jews, he lied and created the start of fear amongst Germany by burning down the building. With this under his belt as Chancellor, he could take whatever actions he felt necessary to condemn the situation. While trying to control the situation that was at hand, Hitler found it to be the perfect time to start blaming the Jews for disobeying his new rules. Lord Voldemort does this by attacking and killing all those in defense to the rights of muggles. By comparing all of these characteristics to one another, one can determine whether or not the leaders created the issue of these mass genocides themselves or if they …show more content…

Hitler preached his prejudices to the Nazi party and found that prejudice (especially hatred of Jews) made him more popular (Rossel 56). Since Jews were “different” non-Jews did not trust them. They were suspicious of Jews and they considered Jews outsiders, potential enemies and a threat (Rossel
Thomas S. Hibbs’ expository essay “Memento Harry” (2011) examines the recurring notion of memento mori in Rowling’s Harry Potter. Hibbs affirms that the Harry Potter series is a tribute to memento mori, “the virtuous cultivation of the memory of death.” Hibbs utilizes parallelism by presenting that the awareness of mortality is the assertion of “life over death, love over hate, and community over isolation,” incorporates logos by analyzing that “remembering and preparing for death are central virtues”, and relates Harry Potter to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe in order to demonstrate that death is only conquered through selflessness. Hibbs perspective on the concept of memento mori is certainly penetrating and he persuasively
The controversy surrounding Black’s imprisonment and escape reveals the issues within the criminal justice system of the Wizarding World that is mirrored in reality as well. As Harry Potter and his peers continue through their third year at Hogwarts, several
The three novels that are possibilities for writing about for the final paper are The Maze Runner by James Dashner, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling, and Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Out of all the books I have read over the years, these three are ones that kept me guessing on what would happen in the end. The purpose of the final paper is to convey the popularity of the book and the influence that the work has had on culture. While each book is different there is a common challenge.
Harry Potter and Divorce among The Muggles Constance Matthiessen, the author of Harry Potter and Divorce among The Muggles is the healthcare and environmental journalist whose articles are published in various medical and psychological journals. Matthiessen is interested in the research of various social issues and personal diseases, which explains her story in The Conscious Reader book. Despite her extensive experience in medicine and psychology, in Harry Potter and Divorce among The Muggles Matthiessen appears as an ordinary woman who has faced a difficult life situation. In this article, Matthiessen does not appear as an advisor and assistant but as the victim of the situation where she is not sure of the correctness of her actions.
Along with the evidence found for admirable qualities. Harry has guts being sneaky and clever. For example, when Harry went out past his curfew with the invisibility cloak on. Trying to find answers about Nicolas Flamel. Only problem is it's in the restricted section of the library.
Rhetorical Analysis – J.K. Rowling “The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination” The author of the famous Harry Potter series - J.K. Rowling held this speech during a graduation ceremony at Harvard University. The speech was to the Harvard graduates from June 5, 2008 and was held outside in the famous ‘Old Harvard Yard’ as a tradition. The purpose of the speech was to celebrate and congratulate the graduating class.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban truly accentuates time and clocks, which is very fitting since Book 3 will presumably be recognized as the Harry Potter book with the time travel. The manipulation of time progresses the plot and many small mysteries were solved due to time turner appearance in story. The paper studies the plot progress because of manipulating time using a time turner and plot holes that aroused due to its appearance. Data Analysis: Observing the popularity and the interest of the arrangement, one may scrutinize the clarifications for such an enormous acknowledgment. One of the conceivable responses to such an enquiry would be the mix of enchantment and reality that Rowling has made through her dialect.
Harry Potter’s narrative follows Campbell’s pattern. In Harry’s case, he is living with his Muggle relatives, when letters from Hogwarts arrive to notify him that he has been accepted to the wizarding school (cf. Ahmed, 2012,
I am fascinated by magic. Magic – magical things and moments that could take me away from the static and mundane rhythms in daily life. The list could go on from small flowers that grow on a pavement, my dogs’ happy and supposedly smiling faces, stories in books, movies and music, to my imagination and daydreams. With such fact laid out, it should come as a combo package that I am also in love with narratives; stories and tales in which I can indulge myself in different worlds and practically live different lives. It should not come as a surprise, therefore, that one of my most favorite series of all time is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
literary analysis: Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets I’ve read Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets, a book written by J.K. Rowling. It’s the second book in a series of 7. The book is about Harry Potter, a 12-year-old wizard going to Hogwarts. This year, people are getting stupefied without anyone knowing the reason behind it.

Despite being a spin-off of J.K Rowling’s popular fantasy book series, Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality has many of the characteristics associated with classic science fiction. While science fiction and fantasy both deal with new worlds and experiencing events that could be considered impossible given our current understanding of the world, science fiction usually adds to this by making scientific ideas and advanced technology a key element of the story. Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality should be added to the class syllabus because it fits the themes of classic science fiction by embodying exploration and scientific principles, and because it functions as a transformative work that would allow us to analyze
