It was seen as necessity for a country to have slaves now since they needed them to do the work since the newly converted Christians had protection from slavery from the crown. Question: Analyze continuity and change in regards to slavery in the United States between 1775 and 1835. During the transplantation period between 1600-1685, African slavery was developed due to the decrease demographic patterns of Indian slaves. It rooted in the Chesapeake Bay region, the south of the British colonies due to the cash crop economy of tobacco and that landowners sought more land for plantations and a demand for cheap labor source. In this biracial society, slaves codes were passed to define the status of slaves and deny basic civil rights to them.

Slavery is traced back to 1792 B.C.E and was a common practice that is used in ways to benefit the owner so he could get more work done throughout their daily life but even when the beginning of civilization ended, people still used slaves, as they were easily forced to meet the demands of the people. Therefore, slavery during civilization times had limits which changed drastically once the era of exploration and discovery came due to economic and cultural expansion that caused their relationship, extent, and nature to have a an entirely different meaning. At the beginning civilization, slavery became present, and there was a relationship to be made between the slaves and owners. After the plantation revolution in the 1600s, slavery became a horrible institution driven by the mass production of goods by white slave-owners who were looking to succeed economically. Slaves were treated as disposable commodities and lived hard lives under the brutal hand of their slave-owners. By the 1800s, slavery was natural and very common in the south, and was justified because African Americans were seen as an inferior race who were uneducated and incapable of engaging in society. Between 1840-1876 slavery was a big deal in eastern, southern, and Northern United States as many slave families tried to run north or even farther to Canada. As laws changed in slavery, causing many to argue that slavery was an injustice to all slave families creating an abolitionist movement. According to the Declaration of Independence, all men are created equal. But, that is not how society turned out to be. Immigrants, blacks, and women all faces discrimination throughout the 1800's. They were beaten, given poor jobs or sometimes no jobs, and not given the right to vote.

Slavery Divorce is hell! Often times the pair has been unhappy for years and tried many ways to save the marriage so the family can remain intact, especially when there are children. The Constitution was known as the supreme law of the land, a legal document that establishes the laws of the government. In the constitution it states that all men are created equal; however, slavery was an opposing ideal to it. Slavery in the United States was a forbidding reality. Slavery was not mentioned in the constitution because of these three factors: the Three-fifths Clause, the Slave Trade Clause, and the Fugitive Slave Clause.

African American history is the time of American history that involves the African American or Black American groups in the USA. Most African American’s come from African descent and were forcibly brought to and held captive in the United States of America from 1555 to 1865. Africans were captured in African wars and transported to be used as slaves. The first African slaves were brought to Virginia in 1619.

There were 20 Africans labeled as “indentured servants.” This meant that for a period of time, the servants would work in exchange for a place to reside, as well as transportation. These indentured servants were considered to be free, despite their settlement being involuntary. To hold onto their power, slave owners made sure their slaves were kept uneducated.
