High school is one of the greatest pivotal times in a human's life. It is where young adults are able to form their own opinions on the world, find activities they are passionate about, and learn to create fruitful relationships with their peers and teachers. However, I did not initially view high school as a period of time for growth and development. Instead, I saw it simply as another task to complete before I entered the real world. I did not take advantage of all the opportunities around me and I began to find school to be institutionalized or meaningless.

Every night I would think about what I could do to fit in.

High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
After highschool, I plan to attend college, I’m not sure where yet, or what exactly I am going to go for. I have learned that money doesn 't buy happiness. I will be in a career that I love first, that I enjoy going to everyday of my life, and one that I can make an impact on this world for the better. School is a key component in my road map for life, because it gets me to my end
Just the thought of not knowing what I was supposed to do with the rest of my life made the last little bit of my senior year, very stressful. Waking up at 6:30 am is starting point of my day. While I get dressed for school, I write down what I need to achieve. Some of these goals are short term and some are long term. The activities that help me find resolutions are, time management, a positive attitude, and decision-making. This altered me by showing how these skills help me prepare for college.
After high school I made a choice to not to attend college. Being young and not having any idea which career path I wanted to go down definitely influenced that decision. Fortunately, for the eight years I have been out of high school I have been able to land great jobs, that have kept me amused but not at my full potential. I believe that there comes a time in some people’s lives where there is a need for substantial growth, and that I have reached that point. Going back to school to get my education is the first step in reaching my greatest potential and bettering my future.
