Superman I have always been petrified of heights. This dates all the way back to when I would peer off the edge of the enormous playset in my backyard as a kid. Looking over the breezy, towering side, hands clammy, and mouth dry, it would send shivers down my spine. Growing older the similar feeling occured when being suspended high up in the air. I hope for one day to overcome this fear. The opportunity finally revealed itself in the summer of 2017. I would soon change my perspective. It was just a couple days after school had ended for the year. The time had come for our annual band trip. The band was on its way to encounter many fun attractions. The event I was most ecstatic for was Six Flags! The day we visited Six Flags I walked around with five of my friends and my girlfriend. We spent the whole day riding the park’s fantastic rides. We started that jam-packed day with the Batman rollercoaster. The coaster was amazing with its numerous loops, twists, drops, and confrontational speeds. Coasters have never bothered me with heights. After enduring quite a few of rides, it was almost the end of our day. We made our way into the last section of the park and there it was: the most horrific ride of them all. The ride …show more content…
As we slowly took steps over to our seats my fight or flight instinct kicked in. Should I have just run straight out the exit? The next thing I knew I was sitting in the heavily secured seat, getting strapped in and ready for lift-off. The seat hugged my body just as a boa constrictor does to its prey in the wild. The ride was now all set to go. The operator then repeated the same facts as he did the last group. “You will first take a 30 second ride up to the top of the 230 tower. Then, suspended at the top, you will be dropped at speeds of 70 miles per hour. Enjoy you ride on the Superman: Tower of Power!” The ride then roared to life as we slowly began the climb to the top of the
Everything we do is science! Over the summer, I went to Six Flags in New Jersey with my cousins. We went on many rides and it was a fantastic day. One of the rides we went on was the “Batman”. On this ride, you’re placed in a sitting position with your feet dangling off the edge.
“When the ride opened, it was marketed as the tallest, fastest and steepest roller coaster in the
Six flags great america (1) When I walked into Six Flags I could hear the music from the carousel playing, and smell the popcorn, and nachos. The people there with us we 're Kara, Kathy, Lisa Jorgensen, Natalie Digllier, Copper, Payton Makena and their mom. Some of them asked me if I wanted to go on the ride called the Raging bull
The wind bites junior Nathan Hoy’s neck where his helmet ends but not yet where his jumpsuit begins as he opens the door of the plane, revealing nothing but a vast passage of air below. His altimeter fastened to his wrist, his 30-pound pack secure, he leans closer to the open plane door for the countdown. 5,4,3,2,1. The descent begins. There is no one to turn to now.
One summer day my friend, family, and I traveled to Carowinds.sAs we embarked on our vacation, we soon discovered that the trip was extremely lengthy. Upon arrival at the park, we heard the shouting of the kids as they were enjoying the rides.cx After entering the park we darted towards the largest roller coaster there. The first problem we encountered was our fear of riding roller coasters.cdWe began to feel the thrill as we went down the first ramp and no longer had fear. The best part about the whole day was experiencing the thrill as you enjoyed the ride. Finally, we ended the day by eating out and traveling home.
My first time going to six flags was not that great because they did not have many rides that I could choice from, but recently, I went back to six flags and they had doubled their rides for any ages. I was shocked about that because that’s a big improvement that would help them bring in more family friendlies. Six Flags is the biggest collection of commercially operated rides, games and other entertainment attractions. Firstly, there are different types of rides at six flags, those rides that can be operated by the whole family and those only available for kids.
I smelled all of the amusement park food, and felt sick. The day was boiling hot, and when we buckled into the roller coaster, I heard the operator, who looked like he was sweating a river, say that this roller coaster was 62 years old. That just made me even more terrified. As we were waiting, and I was talking to my cousin, the operator suddenly pushed the button.
YAAA! I heard in my house from my brother downstairs so I rushed down stairs to see why he yelled and this happened. My mom told me where going to Six Flags. I got so excited I hurried upstairs, put on my swimming shorts and my sunscreen.
“So...what do you want to ride?”, Patrick asked with a grin. “Whatever you want to ride that’s reasonable.” , I replied swiftly. He looked around and was considering what I had said. “Maybe?...”, he was thinking aloud and then his voice trailed off and ended with a dissatisfied hum.
, once we went through the loopty loop I almost peed myself on that ride which was called the Viper. While walking around with
Just when we got up close to the front my heart started beating a mile a minute. I was scared, I wanted to go back and not do this. Though I knew waiting 2 ½ hours couldn’t be for nothing so I rode the coaster. It was extremely fun and fast. I loved
Four years ago we went to Disney World just my family and me, we had so much fun that we decided we would go again in four years. We started planning the next trip almost immediately; we were all so excited to go back. It was not going to be just us this time; my aunt and uncle’s family would be coming with us this time. I remember waiting those four years, and they felt like forever. When it finally came time to start packing (three days in advance) we made sure to prepare for what we did not last time.
This pseudo-phobia of mine reached its peak when I was approximately 13-years-old. I strolled into the foyer of the recreation center where I spent my summers,
I could see myself about to get on this pitch black, super terrifying ride. ----------- I was in the seat.. I looked down at my feet. They were shaking like crazy.
I was never a fan of flying. It’s not that I’m afraid of heights or anything, it’s just the idea of flying. Launching up into the sky, by an airplane specifically, is quite scary, if you think about it. Just imagine every possible way something could go wrong. The plane could get stuck in a storm and crash.
