There is an overwhelming amount of support for theories on the origin of life. Although each theory differs to one another, all proposed theories imply that life has evolved from single-celled microorganisms to the complex multicellular life forms that have existed over millions of years.
The first hypothesis I am evaluating is the Panspermia hypothesis. Panspermia, from Ancient Greek is defined as (pan) meaning ‘all’, and (sperma) meaning ‘seeds’. It is the hypothesis that states life exists all throughout the Universe, and life is propagated throughout space from location to location via meteoroids, comets (Wickramasinghe, 2011), and planetoids (Rampelotto, 2010). To some people, this is how life on Earth originated.

Some proposed that evidence for Panspermia seems weak, and there is the view of Crick (Crick, 1993) who suggests that the implausibility of the RNA world may imply that life that we know of did not originate on our planet, but instead on a planet where there might have been conditions that were selectively favourable for the evolution of RNA. Implications of this are that it is much less adverse for RNA to have existed on a more favourable planet than existing on Earth at a time which would not have favoured the origin of the RNA world (Crick, 1993).
The second hypothesis that I will be evaluating is the Oparin-Haldane hypothesis, a theory put forward separately by biochemists Alexander Oparin and J. B. S.Haldane who both subsequently released independent papers. Their theories stated that life started to appear in the oceans during a time of atmospheric reduction. In the article “Evolution as Fact and Theory” Stephen Jay Gould who is one of the leading theorists in evolution argues that the debate between evolutionists and creationists is pointless since creationists’ arguments lack support and evidence. Gould writes that creationists’ main argument is that evolution is only a theory. However, Gould states that it is not only a theory but also a fact. He suggests that humans evolved from apelike— whether or not is happened by Darwin’s mechanism. What Gould is saying is that there is more than enough evidence to support the theory of evolution and the question that scientists are trying to answer is how exactly all living organisms are linked.

As you won't stop when asked... I don't have an opinion on Evolution. I don't need to. Others far smarter than I have already done the work and published their research for all to see. Opinion only really plays a part where there are potential alternative views and with Evolution there aren't any.
To observe these transitions, there must first be a mutation to produce an advantageous allele, and then this allele must increase in frequency to be observed in a population. This process occurs over millions of years and for speciation to occur, isolation and other events must take place. The fact evolution takes place over such a vast amount of time means that the evidence can be quite questionable at points. ‘Missing links’ have been a real problem for evolutionists because without these, many creationists cannot see a transition between two species (e.g. Fish to land mammals) without seeing some sort of intermediate species. This remains a problem in the fossils left from a young Earth because all early life forms were soft-bodied, eaten before fossilized, or the layer in which it was found eroded.
